One of the best remixes ever and one of my faves by Charlie Sexton! Yes it made a huge impact in Some Kind of Wonderful. The scene with Watts and Stolz. Love it xx

For newer and younger fans of Charlie's, it's worth picking up the entire record, "Pictures For Pleasure", that this song is featured on. Full of great songs. I've heard various remixes and dance mixes of this song over the decades. Take into account Charlie was only 17 yrs. old when he recorded this album. Wrote, co-wrote the songs, did lead and harmony vocals, played most of the guitars, bass, some drums, keyboards and piano. Doing solo shows, he's done one or two songs off this record. But, he distanced himself from "Beats So Lonely" a long time ago. He just got tired of people thinking this song alone defined him, when he was able to do so much more. Producer of multiple records by other artists, was Bob Dylan's right-hand man on guitar for a good 20 years. Lately, back doing the Arc Angels thing. I've told him he'll never escape this song, and he should own it and always be proud of it. You have the millennials and Gen Z old enough to find this song, or watch "Some Kind Of Wonderful", in which they find this song and love it. Who wouldn't?

One of the very best from the 80's - first picked it up from Some Kind of Wonderful (which is my favourite John Hughes movie). Would be nice if it was on Spotify though... :(
