I listen to this alot.....its one of the most amazing fiddle music I've heard absolutely beautiful ❤thankyou

Absolutely fantastic left hand hammer-on, pull-off technique in order to get all that 'ornamentation' smooth and correct. That did not come easy, as Mr. Stewart HAD to most diligently practice an extreme amount to get to such a high level of 'amazing' technique. VERY inspiring !!!!!!

It's nice to hear folk tunes from all around the world. Scotland isn't just bagpipes. This guy is amazing.

You obviously aren't from Scotland if you think Scottish music is just bagpipes.
@jahnawitomboy Жыл бұрын
@@drrd4127 I did say all around the world - wouldn't have said that if I were from Scotland. Obviously it's hyperbole, but I'm glad to be rid of the stereotype.

Its worth checking out the vids of musicians from Cape Breton such as Mac Morin or Coig - piano plays a major role in their traditional music, with a distinctive style. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/d5l3qslyrM24goU.html. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/rL6jp8ae1svJfXk.html

I know some high profile Scottish fiddlers who would be having a screaming field day with him for using so much sliding in Scottish music. In general, at least in the far older styles, we stay as far from sliding in traditional Scottish music as possible. Some consider it "too Irish". He is amazing. He could back off from the sliding a bit though.

The fiddle playing is really good but the dystonic accompaniment is rubbish and makes me really sad that traditional music is being taken over by people who do not know what the term traditional means.
