I did NOT expect this game to be as adorable and profound as it was, but I enjoyed every minute of it so I hope you enjoy coming along for the ride as well!

The "birth" control is actually pain medication!!! The MC is canonically disabled :3 they start using a cane when they move into their own appartment by themselves! It can be seen in the lil basket w the umbrella

actually if i remember correctly that is birth control, they use medical back patches to relieve their back pain :)

If I remember correctly the MC was into climbing and stuff (as we see in the third location) but they got hurt so they couldn't do it anymore

22:02 Yes, that's a badger hair brush and bowl for shaving with a straight razor. It's the best/highest status way to prep for the most dangerous/'manliest' way to shave. One issue: he doesn't use it. It's a prop. He has no bladed razors, and instead uses an electric shaver on the right hand side of the sink. Much like the rest of his stuff, it exists in his space to create an image

I just realized that when you move into your own apartment after moving back home, there is a drawing of your beetle with a halo 😭😭😭 the beetle passed away i am so distraught

although it would be peak comedy to have a wall sculpture dedicated to using your wiimote responsibly, "the hand" is actually called a hamsa and is a symbol of protection in jewish and other cultures! that and the menorah are signs that the mc is jewish, which makes me very happy 😊

When we moved into our ex-boyfriend's apartment he didn't move any of his stuff and we had to squeeze in but when our girlfriend moved in we emptied out our bookshelf and got little matching plastic dressers so she had room 😢

at 21:30 the image of the man and the woman on the fridge is the mc and then bf but at 47:07 if you look to the right on the bulletin board you can see the same photo but the pin is going through the mans (ex bfs) face and finally at 24:46 the game tells you to put the photo hidden away. LORE.

I’ve tried it and in the larger ones it’s SO difficult because you have to focus on the ones that _aren’t_ highlighted, but it is also pretty fun lol

32:38 we have this thing at home! since it's tradition in our country to eat carp for Christmas but nobody in our family likes carp, we put cake batter into this kinda cake tin and it makes a big fish shaped cake, we pour chocolate on top and decorate it with smarties for scales and eyes. Super cute and very delicious, and with such a big fish being sweet we don't need to bake a crazy amount of Christmas cookies

I have played this fully maybe a dozen times. It is easily one of my favorite games of all time. Ever. I also cannot tell you how utterly delighted and excited I get every time I recognize the cover of the characters’ books or movies. When you move back home, Artemis Fowl books 1 and 2 are on the shelf. Dracula is one of the books. I’m almost positive one of the DVDs is Heathers.

My theory on the breakup with the boyfriend is that you got an injury from a sporting or rock climbing incident- after moving out from his place is when the pain meds and heating pads start showing up. I think he was likely very unsupportive of it. He seemed like a fitness bro kinda guy and likely didn't handle the girlfriend being disabled very well.

There is actually a way you can play the game where you essentially play it how it’s not supposed to be played,u place all of the items in the wrong spot and instead of seeing a yellow shining star you’ll see a black and purple star

Yes, you can absolutely change the settings to place objects anywhere. :3 It being restrictive is part of the puzzle aspect; having to fit things where they were intended to go. But I agree, some of the decisions seemed silly. One level you can place the gameboy under the pillow, the other you can't. The soil in the second to last house, I just wanted to store behind the couch because there was a huge space between that and the wall and it feels like it's supposed to be used. And some of the girlfriend's awards, I wanted to display some in the office, too, but it has to stay in the living room. 😭 So I get it. I suggest giving one playthrough with the puzzle feature on. And then playing with it off and personalizing it to how you want. Both feel rewarding.

@@Adelaide_Cuthbert Perhaps I'm too autistic, but I didn't understand the story playing it through myself XD It took watching playthroughs to get like you can't hang up your diploma because your boyfriend is bad, etc.

@@MedusaPurple 🤷🏼♀️ It's nuanced. The story's there for people who are looking for it, but it's not like it smacks you in the face with it. You can just view it as a relaxing game about putting stuff away without looking any deeper. 🩷 That's the beauty of it. I love watching how other people organize their versions of these rooms.
