I think you have the little city of LaGrange, Ga confused with FLINT, MI. In Flint someone might get bored and just do a random drive by shooting. I lived in Flint for over 30 and I saw it go from humble and nice to omg stay inside. LaGrange is nothing like that.

Oh man, growing up, we spent every summer in LaGrange. My grandparent's housekeeper lived in that area. Her yard was covered in flowers, not a blade of grass in sight. I wouldn't say improve so much as gentrify(on a visual level) being that the only areas they're improving are the routes too and from Great Wolf and that surrounding area, as well as The Thread Trail (which I understand a bit more being on foot) both of which they plan to continue build up with retail shops and various entertainment venues. They're thoughts are "can't have tourists seeing this" when in reality, go a few miles from any vacation destination/resort/Park/etc and you will find the same thing. People struggling. The outcome is great but I personally feel the intent is all wrong. I base that off of this - there are PLENTY of other areas in and out of city limits that could use just as much work/help and as it looks currently - they'll never even see the consideration.

That's the result of 50 years of banks redlining and the chamber of commerce deliberately holding people's pay down

Hey Charlie. I'm a loyal subscriber. However, I feel like you don't fuck with us in Montpelier, Vermont. Why haven't you been here?? We have hoods. Our hoods are just as dangerous as Detroit or Chicago (the 2 cities you give the most attention to). I think I speak for all of us in the VT when I say we would appreciate it if you stop overlooking us and paid us a visit. Peace out my brother

I grew up in Newark and live real close to Montpelier, you must be joking. There are no hoods in New England, even the supposed ghettos look like the nice parts of New Jersey. Only certified hood in entire New England is Hartford.
