My father-in-law LOVED Charlotte Church!! He shared this CD with me. And when he passed, I played this song at his funeral. It's a beautiful song!! One of my absolute favorites! Now, when I yearn for peace, I always listen to this song, and let it carry me away.❤

She has (hopefully still does) a beautiful voice but she’s not the beautiful person you think she is. Everyone has flaws; some more than others. She was an 11 year old kid who had access to almost everything or anything in the material world that her fame would impart. I’ll let you guess how that went for her. Her fame almost destroyed her and her family apart. The entertainment industry corrupts regardless of age and it corrupts absolutely.

This lovely song is Irish, with Scottish roots. Charlotte is a WELSH lassie! As a highly skilled professional English violinist I sometimes try a couple of jigs or a reel at the Black Horse, Kilburn. "You're very clever, lad" they say "We're very sorry, but you just don't have the touch!" We, all of us, can only be REALLY true to our roots.

Nicely sung as this is, Charlotte Church does not understand Irish traditional gracing and it just hasn't the impact it should have. Listen to an Irish traditional singer rendering the song. Chalk and cheese.

I remember listening to this late one night not long after it was released and it almost made me cry. What hit me was the last line....'I wish I was back home again'. It seems like you sang directly into the deepest part my Irish heart. Thank you!

I have adored this woman's voice since she was a child. She has matured, both in richness of sound and beauty. I hope she is able to continue with her singing career in unison with a wonderful personal life. Just watched a video of Charlotte singing "Oh Holy Night" with Placido Domingo and it was beyond superb! I adore whatever she sings and this Irish folk tune is wonderfully performed (I am Irish so it speaks to me). 💖

My late grandmother introduced me to Charlotte Church when I was a 7th Grade student at my former middle school. She was right about how beautiful her voice is when she sings songs aloud on the track listings of the albums that she released on audio CDs that were sold in music stores everywhere. It’s funny that we’re sopranos just like the family member I told you about in the comment boards. In fact, I added this song from you to some playlists that I made on Spotify which are called, "Saint Patrick's Day songs" and "Saint Patrick's Day melodies."

I remember this Beautiful Young Woman named Charlotte Church. sang in the Faustão program in the year 2000. Along with our wonderful Agnaldo Rayol. interpreting the novel Terra Nostra. Charlotte Church was 13 years old. He left Brazilians enchanted with his beautiful voice. telling the Music Tormento d'amore. Today she is 36 years old. She is a beautiful Welsh singer, songwriter, actress, television presenter and political activist. .
