yeahs she's from Napanee Ontario, and it is a Canadian accent. but an Ontarian Canadian accent is slightly different from other Canadian accents (i.e maritimer, quebecois, Albertan)

Why do people think Avril changed? Those of you who got her other albums, Under my Skin or Let Go, should know that some of those songs are a little bratty, like Girlfriend. The Best Damn Thing is just as meaningful as all her other albums, and Girlfriend is just one song out of them that she chose to release as a single. It's not my favourite... but don't judge her whole album by one song. It was her style that she changed, not her music.

Well apparently it doesn't take Avril alot to get annoyed or irritated...Well, first off, it's a little more intimate & straight to the point. They're sense of humor (in my experience, don't know about everyone else's) is like a comedy roast, only turned on all the time in conversation (not all UK, but most I'm friends with). Things are said in different ways which most Americans would take as being offensive or a little too blunt.
