They prob will close the upper deck so it'll be limited to 30k. Will open full capacity for derbies and playoffs

I was there and I can say the atmosphere was absolutely incredible. People were going nuts the whole game long. Definitely an awesome experience and I hope they can keep this high energy going in more than just their home debut.

@@sergiobomr216 ehh it's slightly better. the national team has gotten much better because most of the players play in europe haha. but watching MLS games is still painful most of the time because the player quality is still really poor overall. imo

Maybe one day down the road. But to be honest it’s what kept them in business and the league stable, especially since they are still adding teams. Every sports league in North America has a salary cap, except MLB…..and MLB is currently in a lockout….so it’s not exactly a good example.

There's far more important thing that need to go if it wants to be taken seriously. Playoffs, draft system, no promotion/relegation, no real academies.

We should keep it honestly. It creates parity. All we need to do is raise the cap by another 20 million or so and keep DPs and we’re Gucci.

MLS is growing big time. It's still behind NHL when it comes to league popularity but soccer interest is divided over many leagues instead of just one. Soccer as a team sport has already overtaken hockey and can swap places with baseball within the decade!!! 💪🏼🇺🇸⚽️🔜⬆️⬆️⬆️

People getting mad over this attendance should know about the attendance in Kolkata derby . At pre covid times it's maximum went to 131,000 people.

It is called MLS (Major League Soccer) by default teams should not be allowed to call themselves an FC (football club) rather an SC (soccer club). Either change the name of the league or change the name of the teams.

@@kevin-rs4gv 'Major' League is more of a problem than Major League 'Soccer', it implies there's a minor league (I really wouldn't call it that!) that they can be relegated to. In England it can be called soccer (like in the name of a TV program) but NEVER in a sentence.
