I am a big fan of your honest reviews! I can always trust your opinion. That being said, I am just not a fan of CT eyeshadows in general. The mattes are very good, but the shimmers get hard pan and have no pigment. For the money, I think Dior and Natasha Denona shadows are much better quality, and I really like Cle de Peau. I also like Chantecaille a lot. I'm never disappointed in those brands. For me, I prefer those other formulas even if they cost more.

I'm afraid you're right. I had hope with her staying on as the chief creative officer, corporate wouldn't ruin the brand. They've had a few great launches, but, it seems like those great launches are far and in between 😞

Hi Tara! You created some beautiful looks with these palettes, but I agree with you that it’s missing a deeper cool toned matte. I was considering the lighter blush/highlighter duo, but I’m glad to know that it’s very pigmented and difficult to gradually build. I’m not one for heavy blush. Hope you’re feeling better!

A good 9-pan is easier for travel/storage, especially with both warm/cool options. But like you, I wanted a cooler deeper matte. I think she was trying to create one palette to match either blush palette, which I also love the size. I just de-panned one of the browns for a mauve. Since I used a discount code and adore the packaging, I didn't mind. It's rare that every pan suits me. The pink blush is amazing especially for $25. If it wasn't pigmented enough or if it was another pillow talk release, ppl would be complaining! I've used it every day for the last couple of weeks and I'm pretty happy with this launch.

I was looking forward to your review. As a Charlotte Tilbury collector myself, I passed on the eye shadow palette but purchased the two blushes - which I love. I didn’t think I needed any more CT shimmers as I felt that the browns are probably similar to the browns I already have from her - especially since I prefer deeper browns. I may buy if it goes on sales because of FOMO, but right now I can’t justify it. In fact, I bought my second Exaggereyes palette. I love that set! Thanks for the review!

Maybe they should have gone for burnt red and forest green colours , that would be very Christmas themed and then include some sparkle shades . I bought it as there’s a 30% discount for Black Friday so I’ll see how it is

Tara is back to making videos-yayyyy!!! Hope you’re doing okay. Something reminded me of Mel today which then led me to think of you 😇🤍. I ordered the CT holiday palette & the lighter blush/highlighter duo. Both initially arrived shattered so they had to send me replacements. I think they’re pretty but I need to use more to form an official opinion. The mattes in the palette are so creamy & good! Holiday releases overall have been not it for me. I also ordered the Patrick Ta palette that has blush & 4 eyeshadow toppers. The glitter from the eyeshadow is already getting in the powder blushes as the plastic cover only protects the cream blushes. So we’ll see. Did you order that?!? I haven't ordered the New palette from PT. I haven't bought most of the new releases. Too be honest, nothing has excited me, and with the cost of everything going up and a daughter in full time college, I am saving my coin. Lol. But, I'm sorry to hear that happened to your palette. I tested these at our new Sephora and I was all set to get the eyeshadow palette until I swatched it. I agree about the mess of those shimmer shades. Also watched Theresa is Dead and Jen Phelps and their review also helped. I would get the cheek highlighter though as it’s pretty and affordable for CT.

I am bummed about the mattes. As soon as I saw the pallet I had the same reaction as you. The mattes are not the right color to go with the shimmers. I am really bummed because I love Charlotte’s holiday releases. The pop shots where my all time favorite holiday release. But do I really want to spend that much money when I won’t touch 1/3 of the pallet?

That's it!!! The tones feel all over the place. With a 9 pan palette, you need them to be cohesive. I feel like this was thrown together, it doesn't feel like a holiday launch to me🤷‍♀️

As a fan of TRUE silver shadows (it's really hard to find a PERFECT one -- Natasha Denona is def my fav one), I find myself really wanting this JUST for that shade!!! I have been waiting for her to do one like this. I too wish she would have added at least ONE more cooler brown, I wouldn't even hesitate if that were the case....

Tara, I bought this the eyeshadow palette, I appreciate you debunking the learning curve, If you have any palettes that you would recommend using with it in cooler tones I’d appreciate hearing your recommendations. Are you wetting your brush with a fixed plus or just plain water? Thanks for the tips with the lashify, I just used them yesterday on a client, and it a great experience, but definitely can see the troubles with tight lining with those and the drop down from glittery shadows would just destroy the look of those lashes. Hey there🙋‍♀️ Thank you so much for watching🩷 I normally dampen my brush with a makeup wipe I always have handy when I'm doing my makeup, it gives the right amount of liquid, so my brush isn't too wet or too dry😘 I love Lashify, I started wearing them May 22' , and I'm obsessed lol. But, you're right, tight lining can be tricky, especially if it's a brand new set. The glue is a little stiff within that first 24 hrs. After that, it softens a bit and it's a little easier to apply liner😁 Oh and, regarding the cool Palette, I have paired it with the Natasha Denona Glam Palette and it was a great Palette to pair with those pinks & purples. But, that's the only cool tone Palette I've used so far with it. I had higher hopes for this years holiday release, but, better luck next year🤪 Thanks again for watching, really appreciate it 🙏 XOXO🩷🩷

Im so glad you swatched the palette against the super nudes easy eye palette (my favourite). Would you say the formula is exactly the same? Some reviews describe it that way. Iprobably will pass on this palette because Im thinking the CT super nudes easy eye palette combined with ND "I need a nude" Palette is like a perfection combo.

Yes. I would say the those 3 Mattes on the top row are definitely similar to the Super Nudes (its one of my favs as well😘) I think the super nude Mattes are a little creamier in texture, but still very similar 🩷 Thanks for watching, I hope the review was helpful 🙏

I have the eye palette and will be returning it. Not because the quality isn’t there, it is. The mattes are very creamy and the shimmer shades are pretty and apply very nicely to the eye. I’m returning it because this was an impulse purchase and I have no use for the sparkly shadows. They are way too sparkly for me to wear every day and I don’t have many occasions to wear them.

this is something that bothers me from many palettes. Most of us don´t even use shimmers from sun to friday, right? Why do all palettes need to have extremely crazy shimmers? super shiny toppers? They even have more than mate shadows in the palette. Is a non-sense. Also, when I look at the brands´ Instagrams all the looks seem to be to the freaking Oscar Gala. Most of us don´t go out more than once a month and sometimes is just for brunch or dinner with friends. I need palettes and looks I can use for those work and brunch situations, not for the Met gala.

I jumped to buy the fair pink blush and it was much deeper in person than in the photos and when I tried it, even the tiniest dab was too much. I barely touched the pan and I looked like a clown. I couldn’t get it to work so I had to return it unfortunately.

I agree about the mattes. I really do like the palette, the outer packaging too and the fact she put different textures in there.. but the 3 brown mattes are redundant. Wasted space, I feel. That's keeping me from purchasing. Her 12 pan palettes were always so well curated.

I feel like for this palette CT couldn’t decide what they wanted to do. So they threw in some matte shades that everybody has probably 10 times over and then some shiny shades to make it “holiday.” I think this one is a pass for me.

For me this is very disappointing. First less pans for the same price then the color story is just odd and very few looks from it. I really enjoy the 12 pan collections she’s done in the past. She should have put together her eyeshadow pots from last year in a palette with some mattes. I would have paid premium prices for that. This is an easy pass.
