In my opinion the besr seasons were 3,4 and 1

Seasons 4 & 3 were the peak years for the show imo. The show definitely changed, for the better in season 4, but it started to go downhill after that.

It changes in season 4, actually. Seasons 1-3 showed them using their powers and then showed their names.

In my opinion seasons 6-8 became very trashy ...also the sisters became kinda selfish ...it was normal to them if they lost an innocent soul to a demon ..and the „new“ demon characters...were just too much...their acting, their talking ...no more background story for each demon ..and this school of witchcraft they introduced later ...that was so unnecessary 😒! It just got trashy few seasons after prue died ... What I missed the most was the background music from the first seasons ...it always was so magical and the feeling was different ! But what I literally hate the most in charmed is that this series got so many logic mistakes !! In that episode there is a rule and in the other it’s again different...no explanation or something... just compare season 1 to season 7 or 8 and see the difference...I always wanna throw up ..how could a great show like this start so well, magical , mysterious and turned into a trash show ..plus I’m sorry but I really don’t like phoebes character...especially after seasons 2 !! She became so annoying and selfish...and actually it’s phoebes fault why prue died !! She was selfish and ignorant enough to travel to the underworld, trying to save Cole from being evil ... while a contract killer demon is up there trying to kill her sisters !!! Knowing he only can be defeated by the power of three ...I thought B*** how selfish u are ...u sacrifice ur sister for a Man U are in love with ...(at that moment in love with ) ...u could have saved him later too ..he wasn’t fighting for his life or something 😂... no she was also making out with him while prue and piper were fighting to death 😂... And the most funny thing of all is ...few seasons later she killed cole too ...cause she had enough 🤷🏻‍♂️...so u let ur sister die for nothing haha 😂...I know there was trouble on the set ..but the character of phoebe was also a B***! Also the way she treated Paige ...she literally put cole over her whole family ...just because she was in love like a selfish ignorant ***!! Hope u have fun reading this 😂... I really loved charmed but hate how it ended ...

There were still power clips used most especially when Drew Fuller and/or Dorian Gregory were absent from certain episodes. The power clips used were from Ms. Hellfire (Piper) and A Witch's Tail (Phoebe and Paige).

interesting point, watching/rewatching charmed (i've only ever watched the first four seasons before watching it again this year) and from season 6 i've just been sitting there like "what is this show even about at this stage?" the writing got so lazy and unimaginative it's at a stage where i can't take any of the characters seriously especially since they departed so much from what themselves in earlier seasons i liked the first three seasons with prue because despite the acting not being the greatest of all time it was somewhat relatable with three adult sisters trying to figure their way out in life while at the same time how to deal with their secret lives as witches sure a lot of the episodes were formulaic but it was still very enjoyable in comparison to the trashy wannabe trainwreck that it ended up being from season 4, there's something incredibly comforting watching it as an adult tbh they were definitely the best seasons out of the show one thing i noticed personally is how cheap and dated the show looks even back then, particularly the graphics and some of the demons which look like they were put together with the cheapest of halloween costumes and makeup. i'm amazed that even in its later seasons it has graphics that were passable probably five years prior considering how much cgi was evolving at that time (not expecting a masterpiece but come on it was the early 2000s)... as it seemed like as you mentioned the witches wanting me time and that alone prioritised over the concept of the show so when they do bring it up it seems so undeveloped and again lazy like the magic school being a blatant rip off from hogwarts but they can't even get that right so its only used for convenience sake and grams appearing from the dead how many times not to mention the amount of times magic is used for 'personal gain' all of a sudden it lacks seriousness when they actually get into danger due to using it when they're doing that pretty much all the time it seems the acting is so phoned in and dare i say it bad in the later seasons as well from piper phoning in her lines of what everyone has to do as part of the plot "we must kill this demon" "leo has to take the kids to magic school" which became more and more noticeable in season 4 but became constant later on... my god it's so annoying and incredibly lacking in personality, paige had potential and probably the most bearable character in the whole show, leo is so whiny, chris is whiny, phoebe is almost used as plot convenience i feel at this stage especially with the love interests conveniently aligning with her career as a journalist giving out love advice, inspector morris is laughable, the whole cole/phoebe love arc went on for way too long imo and despite it being somewhat entertaining i almost had a feeling what was going to happen like i wasn't exactly blown away... need i say more? i noticed as well in the later seasons and this sounds like a nitpick but they talk so much almost like to fill up space, maybe they were trying to copy of a gilmore girls vibe with the constant talking but it feels sort of random i'm watching season 7 atm and i hear that season 8 is worse which i guess im going to be in for a treat update: i have officially watched the entire series as of today (9/12/22), here are some extra thoughts... i will admit i kinda liked the ending of season 7 especially whenever drake was on despite it being short lived plus considering it was meant to be the last season it was nice to see some finalised moments in the show, however i still think it's a pretty bad season you can tell season 8 was mostly done out of a whim because the plot lines seem to be more contrived and because they have no depth they are really stretched out than the previous season, hence the addition to billie and christie who aren't incredibly convincing to be honest especially with the latter of the season where they ended up being villains because (1) christie was brainwashed by demons and (2) something alone the lines about them the witches being selfish (which is TRUE it's hard to take the witches seriously when they defend themselves). billie, christie and the random groups of demons (zodiacs, avatars... in the words of patrick star, who are you people??) all seem to be fodder the sake of having some sort of drama or tension in the season because let's face it there's literally nothing going for this season (apart from the coop/phoebe and paige/henry arc which i will admit i liked). the plot line where they changed their identities was unnecessary and it should've been something that'd take up one episode not five. the budget cuts are really noticeable tbh i know it shouldn't but it pains me knowing that it was aired around 2005/2006 and it had not evolved one bit in terms of quality. season 8 felt pretty tired heck it felt like some of the actors were sleepwalking through their lines at this stage. one note i will make is the episode where the leprechauns called the witches selfish and that was them swayed by billie and christie (the baddies... almost all of a sudden) was kinda funny to me. the last episode was disappointing but the ending was nice... i wouldn't say it was much worse as the last season but it just as bad in my opinion i will probably word this better in an imdb review without all the rambling

It's all the original openings. None of it belongs to Netflix. Just season 8 on DVD, the license for "How Soon Is Now" track had expired before the DVD release, and they didn't want to pay to renew it so they (the studio), created the instrumental track. When Netflix released it on its platform, all seasons had to use the season 8 DVD opening theme for the prior seasons. But Seasons 1-7 on DVD will have the original song.

I think that’s because there are no major differences in style. Like coloring, effects and clips like in the first two or three intros of the video.

I was reading up on this. In the acting world, "and", "with" and "as" next to actors' names are a notoriety thing to draw more attention to the associated actor's name. The articles I read talk about the billing order of tv show credits. Shannen Doherty was considered the lead sister for Seasons 1-3 so with her getting top billing (highest paid), she was listed first. Although Alyssa Milano was listed last of the 3 during the first 3 seasons, she got an "and" next to her name to indicate she's second highest paid actor even though she was listed last. Seasons 4-8 after Shannen's departure, Alyssa became top billing being listed first during the credits, and Holly Marie Combs received the "as Piper" as an indicator that she's second highest paid on the show and second in level of importance. It's related to their contracts, and these placements are important to actors as it gives a sense of prestige and indicates to their future acting prospects their level of importance for a show. Confusing to the audience but makes perfect sense in the acting world.

I feel it creates a unique vibe for the show.

The license for the original broadcast song expired, and the studio simply did not want to pay the fee to renew it. That's why all DVD box sets for Season 1-7 are the original song, and season 8 had the new one. Then for Netflix, all seasons were with the new theme.

That's bc they had a contract w/ her and if either of them broke it, they would've had to pay in the millions, which Ik for sure the actress didn't have, and that would've been a lawsuit that The WB didn't want to have, so they had to keep her on. ​@@mikevsy
