Utley inspired a generation of Philly kids to play baseball they way it should. He played with class, intensity, and incredible smarts. Utley is my favorite ball player of all-time.

Up there with Foles and Schmidt as the top legends of philly sports. He is the man indeed.

I remember watching this on TV while living in Florida and feeling bittersweet that I’m seeing one of my favorite players retire, while also being upset that I couldn’t be home to see it in person. But now I get to go to Cole Hameln retirement ceremony in June!

It was a beautiful day at the ballpark to honor a man still loved by this city. We had him for 13 years and he made a huge impact here in Philly. I am so glad that I got to take my son to the game.

Man i remember meeting Chase Utley when i was a kid. Back when he played in the minor leagues with the Red Barons in Northeast PA, i won a sweepstakes to be team captain for a day. I got to hang out with the players in the dugout before the game. The two that stick out for me the most were Chase and also Shane Victorino. Both of them were super nice i remember. I got a pic with them and and autographed ball afterwords. Chase and Shane will be two of my all time favorite Phillies players!
