@@mill1331 context is incredibly important when making blind assumptions about situations. As to the first card sale. The Jim Brown rookie and the other cards will grade NO WHERE near what the comment above is suggesting. Was it an incredible score and a great buy, absolutely. Those cards are BEAT UP. and will grade accordingly. $300 was an incredibly fair offer for the context and not looking up stuff in front of the guy. I know vintage football moderately and knew I could double my money up just fine on what I was buying. Did I sit and talk to the guy for 20 minutes recounting stories and sharing experiences after the fact. Yes. He was an unbelievably nice gentleman with a ton of stories and he was ecstatic about the sale. He knew what he had and had prices marked on a paper from last time he checked the market and knew he gave me a good deal. I was never dishonest or misleading. With the other guy, he knew I was a reseller, (as was he) and loved that we had interest in the hobby. He said if he was to grade, he would only want to do PSA, and when I said the $300 remark. It was 100% honest and true. At the time of this filming there was ZERO knowledge to when PSA would open or pricing structure. The current price was over $300. If you watch the video. I even talk about how they are partially shut down due to backlog. I’m still in contact with the guy and he has access to these videos! The blind assumptions of some viewers is fascinating. If you have a question, feel free to ask, I’m more than willing to answer. Attacking my integrity and character seems like a weird flex.

Why stop at wildly assuming it would get a 6? Why not just imply it will get a PSA 10? That way we can make up more fictitious numbers that slide into 6 digits and make empty claims that don’t line up with the real world. I know you’ve been a viewer for a hot second and love that you comment, but please if you’re going to accuse me of something do it from a logical stance. I didn’t play dumb, I didn’t manipulate, nor is there anywhere near $10k of cards there. You seem like you’re probably a good guy, but this type of comment just seems to come off a bit ignorant. What if we paid for it to later discover it was fake? Should I go back to him. Tell him his card was fake, and demand money back? Of course not. We bought a card from a different guy earlier this year for hundreds of dollars and he had no idea it was a fake. Do you think when we got it we went back to him? Of course not. We counted our losses and moved on with our business. Please do not forget that this is a business, real money, real expensive and real risk. I was nothing but fair and honest with this guy and paid what I was comfortable with upon seeing the cards. Maybe this helps. If you have any questions. I’m happy to answer. I’m not mad or accusing you, I just don’t understand the motives behind a comment like this?

If those cards as beat up as you say and guy truly understands everything he had there and is still comfortable with that, my true and sincere apologies. There's no flex here, just going on what's on the tape. When someone like that is relying on the the buyer to offer "fair value" there's a line in getting a great deal for your business and fleecing someone and the way it played out on the video you guys put out, it didn't look good. I wish there was more context in this case. His prices were 15 years old and the PSA July 1 date has been known since the day they shut down, it was in every literal message they put out. But again, if those cards, and this goes beyond the Jim Brown, are in as bad of shape as you say and have limited value my sincere apologies and I absolutely should've DM'd you first.

@@mill1331 with PSA stuff, that’s all true what you said. I didn’t know the definite return date and plans, I just went and looked and you’re 100% right on that. In the confines of this conversation though, I was not dissuading him from grading. In fact. I even told him I would grade if I bought them. I only discussed the $300 mark in making my point that PSA is shut down currently. He as since decided to go ahead and plan on grading them, and I’ve been in contact with him helping along the way and working on other deals. He said he’s gonna let us come see again and try to make a deal when they come back from PSA.

Not when there are big neighborhood sales and you have help! Making sure to get there very early is key too. Hitting 50 sales also doesn’t mean I get something at every sale.
