Ha ha ! As a music composer /arranger, I love the music when you saw the bear! Just for your info. Bears used to be very, very, common in the high country of Yosemite. Then it became mandatory for backpackers to have bear canisters to store food and toiletries. The problem of hungry bears pestering campers went away. Bear incidents/encounters went down from 1500+ a year (or thereabouts) to just a handful. In short, this guy was probably hoping you would leave food out, rather than eat you! ha ha!

You did the right thing by avoiding that bear. Some have paid the ultimate price by trying to get close for that perfect photo. 🐻 Thanks for sharing this video. I've never been to Lake Tahoe but it's definitely on my list to see. Appreciate your humor and enthusiasm. 💫

If you want to stop being trailed by a bear & you've got spray, simply put down your smelliest snack and spray a circle around the snack without getting any spray onto the snack. The airborne smell will draw the bear to the snack and as soon as he gets near and smells the spray, two things will happen. One, he will probably turn around and most importantly if he doesn't, he won't know where to go because his olfactory bulb is clogged with spray and all he can smell is spray. This will incapacitate his olfactory bulb for several minutes and then he will need to start over with the tracking.

Eagle Falls trails is great and has fanatic views. Love that whole area. Good reaction to the bear, there all over that area, you handled the situation well and respected the bears boundaries. Those other Jeep roads are closed until the Forest Service opens the gates when road has dried out and snow has melted off. Talked with my Jeeping buddie yesterday, said they were out in the Weber area, lots of water going over the various falls, flowers were awesome in the valley below along the river and the entire terrain was green and lush. Stay safe & well.

I'm 60 and I've had dreams about bears chasing me since I was about 5 or so. Nothing gets to me like a bear. Never seen a grown bear in the wild but I'm certain if I do, that dude will know my dreams and try to make them come true. lol Great video as always!

Beautiful film. Years ago I helped a retired man build an Ikea filing cabinet that he was struggling with at his newly-built home in Truckee. By way of thanks he drove me out to explore Lake Tahoe. I think his parents had kept a summer house by the lake and much of his childhood had been spent there. One of his early memories was watching a beautiful young woman being escorted from a boat into an exclusive resort nearby. She took his breath away and he later found out who it was: Elizabeth Taylor!

Having lived in the Alaskan boonies for 13 years Mr. Bear was a common sight, but one to take seriously.

Hannah when you were making your burrito you could have made 2 and shared one with your new bear buddy, he would have loved it sharing is caring. 😂🤣 Awesome video as usual.

That water fall overlooking Emerald Island has memories. After hiking the same trail you were on with my kids my son walked out on top of the water fall, slipped and went half way over. I dove out and grabbed his leg. We have been there several times since but we all still cringe thinking about it. He was 7 at the time, now he is a Navy Chief.

The only thing better than clean sheets is a fresh shower and then fresh sheets! The Best!

Have another hot sauce recommendation since the Huy Fong Sambal I recommended last time is out of stock everywhere. A friend of mine grew up in Mexico City and I was telling him about the lack of a good spicy salsa in the stores. He recommended the Trader Joe's Habanero Ghost Pepper Salsa in the refrigerated section (plastic tub). This was the answer to my dream of a really spicy salsa. I'm already on my 3rd or 4th tub!
