You can install spools on that bike. Theres a little plastic cap you can pull of on the swingarm which is literally meant for them :D

OC: I always do my own maintenance on all my bikes. Kinda be shameful to not do that since I was a technician for 8 years. Being a sub since before "Torqued to Spec" was a thing on Chase's channel, everytime Chase says "It should go easy" my brain thinks "Why would you say that? Now you know it won't be." So happy it all went smoothly. 😁

There is spools hole on them. Swingarm has little rubber grommet that pull off. Then can install them there

this is such a good idea for videos more people need to do first service videos on newer bikes so you know what you are getting into

OC. CFMoto is killing the game as far as getting people into riding. The 450 CL-C is a contender for my first bike. It is up against the Honda Rebel 1100 currently. The rebel has the aftermarket support, cruise control, and, of course, the dct availability. CFMoto has price and great features out of the box. It's going to be a tough choice.

OC: always done oil changed on my vehicles. Getting a kit sounds super convenient. I recently did an oil change on my mom’s car and I realized i forgot the crush washer while the oil was draining out so I had to rush to get one. An oil change kit definitely would have been helpful. 😅

I wanna change the oil in my 300ss as I bought it used that way I know it’s good to go otherwise it’s gonna bother me lol it only has 2,000 miles. Thanks for the video chase hopefully it goes just as smoothly I also love that color of the 450ss looks great

OC always change my oil and do light maintenance. Doing it myself gives me some satisfaction as well as maybe seeing something that needs to be done. It’s great to be hands on with a bike

OC; Run the bike then re-check after you fill it with the amount recommended also there are 2 volumes one with and the other without the filter change. I do all of the work needed on my bike, i refuse to let dealer Jerk Off's touch my machine, it's my life on 2 wheels which needs to be done right.

If you wanted 2.74 in there, didn’t you have to pour in the last one till the meter reads 0.26? Can’t see the meter just being careful

That’s exactly how my oil looked when I did my first oil change. Weird color, maybe they just used cheap ass oil, who knows. Heard that it was hard to find parts for the bike, but I found a CFMoto parts website in the US that was super easy to order from.

There are spool holes bro. They have caps on them. I know because I installed spools on mine.

OC: No, cause I don't have a bike yet LOL... Chase, I would love to see a video on "Beginner Tool Set" or something of the sort. I'd like to have most (or all) the tools for general maintenance and modifications before getting my first bike. I'm sure there are videos out there, but I enjoy your style of videos

Every bike is different I learned that. If Asian or Italian metric if American Sae. Oil wrenches can be one of like 10 sizes.

OC: Remember all in Australia and probably other places, get your services done a regoed service centre for warranty period. As not to void it.

It won't void your warranty if you document in manual as supplies, filter, oil change kit , part #, mileage at which was changed..

It is green I have 2024 cfmoto 450ss I think that is the oil that comes with it (stock from first bought) I paid $349 for the oil change on the dealership I felt like I got ripped off but I learned my lesson and buy the oil change kit and do service on my own next time

Pretty sure you underfilled the oil based on your explanation. If they wanted 2.7 quarts and you filled the last one until the remaining oil reached the .7 line, you only put 2.3 quarts in.

10:02 next time, pour the excess into one of those empty bottles, that way you don't need to stop and check it near the bike. Just dump the 0.74 level of the content that is now in the bottle.

I actually bought this and the package arrived the day before I hit a deer and my bike was destroyed. Super heart breaking. Brand new bike and didn’t even get to do an oil change on it

Where in this Moto coarse oil filter ? The motorcycle has run 1100 km, it suddenly does not rev up above 7000 rpm, what could be the problem?

My 450ss just recently started showing a check engine light and the oil light. The oil appears to be low when looking at the little window. I know it isn't leaking oil, as I have never seen oil on the bike nor on the ground, but I guess it could be burning it? Either way, it is still under warranty, so should I take it to the dealer and have them look at it, or do an oil change myself to see if that fixes the problem? It still has 1200 miles until it supposed 'next service' which is why I am nervous. @Chaseontwowheels what do you think I should do?

Patty said he would check the oil level and add enough to get the level back to normal. But only after taking pictures of the current oil level. But before you do any of that call your local dealer and see how they want to handle it. With it being in warranty they may want to see it when the level is low

How many miles before doing the service on this bike? I almost have 500 kilometers. Do you need to do something else also after changing the oil and oilfilter? Checking chain slack and stuff?

First service should be at least 1000 kms and every 6000 kma but I’m not sure about miles

@@elliotradcliffe-cm8yf what about the things needed? My dealer only asks 100 euros for the first service which i think is ok. Im not very handy with motorcycles myself. I could do it but i have warranty so better to go to the dealer. Im at 920kms currently so its coming up!! :D

@@BelgiumGOAT tipically the first service should only be an oil and filter change like seen here but they might replace the air filter on top of the oil change at the next service 100 euros seems pretty cheap for a service? Whats the labour rate over there?

I’ve been looking at the CFMoto 450SS to get as my first bike and I was just curious if anyone knows how tall Chase is cause im not that tall and im worried that I’ll be too short for it

He is 5'9 Id definitely check out his other videos on this bike because he walks you through it really well. With a seat height of 31 inches you want to measure your inseam to see how it might fit for you. I always suggest a few inches above seat height. You could be 5'4 with a 30in inseam or a 33in inseam so its more rider specific. I'm 5 foot on a good day with a 28 inseam and yes this bike is a bit tall for me but with the thinner seat option its right around 30in in seat height. I can't flat foot this bike but comfortable with a one leg stance
