Best way too fish all fish through the ice, I don't have much money so I built 4 of them out of 1x1 and a 2x4 blocks and 6"x6" base 1/4 inch plywood, works great and I can take off the base and put it in the milk create and I cut one side of the milk create so I can put the 20 inch post that I use for the tip down on it, they work great for me, I have pictures of them and I am going to make more of them out of plastic pipe pvc pipe, a little lighter and easier to store!! 🎣🇺🇸

Drill out a live well out of the ice. 5'x5' 2/3 through the ice. Then, beside it, drill a hole all the way through. Chissel a path for the water to fill the well.

And while you all crank in fish U should be thinking about traps, the best u have ever used & the best we can build or make because you know as well as I, " that none of them(trap manufacturers)have gotten it all right yet. Not by a long shot in most instances no matter who builds them or where. It's pretty disappointing to finally recently see, just a few of the features that should have been incorporated into traps some 200 yrs ago. A child could see that as well as several more features that are yet to arrive. American trappers should be leading the pack on this one & setting the standard for the rest of the world. These american designed traps should be sought by & a personal preference for trappers all over the world, not just Americans.
