Fishing in New York is something I've wanted to do for a decade. This incredibly historic area has had its ups and downs, but the fishery has absolutely bounced back. Myself and @FishAholicTV leave our home waters of Florida in search of some cold water giants! We're chasing big tuna, fluke, and the incredible striped bass (striper). We use live bait, lures and some local methods to target New York's most famous fish!
Be sure to stick around for the catch clean and cook!

Hey Ryan, You absolutely did the right thing pursuing your passion at your stage in life. I wish I started KZfaq way back in the beginning when I didn't have many responsibilities. I just do it as a hobby considering I have a Wife, Kids, and run a business. I barely have time to fish anymore. If you ever want to do a killer Mutton trip out of Stuart, I would be happy to share my techniques. Tight Lines.

Thinking you suck at something you are achieving success in isnt a sign that you suck... it's a sign that you know how good you could be and will be and are still getting better 👌. Perfect spot to be bro, keep getting after it. The intros with with beautiful scenery and thoughtful voice overs, the good fishing, and the life lessons are a solid combo... keep running with it 💪💪

I am a 66 year old Hillsborough inlet boy who caught his first fish behind the stern of the Miss Jean 7 at the north inlet bridge dock when I was 3. I also spent every weekend from High School fishing all the piers and jetties up to Sebastian and became a charter boat mate after finishing school, did that for a couple years then started longlining Swordfish out of a 34 Del Rios Crusader. I live on Cape Cod now and have done everything up here from longlining Swordfish to Cod, Haddock, and Dogfish to Blue Fin fishing and dragging and even weir fishing. The one thing I always scratch my head about now is whether should I have stayed home in Fla? Oh well, how could I ever truly know? So you only get one shot in life, so follow your heart, because if you don`t you may even regret that even more. We just have to accept ourselves for who we are, that's all this old A-hole of a fish-head can tell ya, Good Luck!

You're doing great, bud. I'm indescribably jealous of the fishing you get to do. At 55, I wasted so much time, effort, and resources getting nowhere fast. But I am now living on the Outer Banks and trying to take advantage of the fishing opportunities. Although I love watching you visit these fantastic places and catching amazing fish, I miss the gear reviews and rigging lessons of the past. Please bring those videos back. They help the next generation - and me - learn how to be better and more responsible fishermen. Peace be with you and yours.

I think you're videos are great and at least from the American fishing KZfaqrs (I really like the Australian rock fishing content but that's totally different to what you guys do so I couldn't put one above the other) you are my favorite and that's because of you, BlacktipH or Landshark have loads of great content but I still have a better time watching you. As someone who's life represents a rollercoaster who's still trying to get to that point where I'm living or at least actively chasing the dream (but getting closer) and following my passion I'm so glad it worked for you and that you had the balls to go for it cause trust me, I know all to well how easy it is to put it off, especially if there are financial constraints. Take care and stay salty. PS: at least to me that heart felt rent put the video on another level of depth, in a good way!

But if you ever want to do some insane fishing in NY, you, Viktor and Brook have got to fish Montauk for jumbo everything, Fluke, Black Fish, Black Sea Bass, Striped Bass, Porgies, etc....Seems like all of these fish have been injected with steroids as they are so plentiful and huge.
