Thanks! The Mirage 2000s were all land-based. The Rafale featured in this video is carrier-based and has replaced the old F-8 Crusader and Super Etendard as front line Navy fighters.

@@ChachouLP Sorry to be slow answering, Charlotte... I'm the son of a US Air Force Cold War pilot. My dad flew during WWII in the S. Pacific. I flew lots with my dad and eventually got a pilots license and owned an American Champion Super Decathlon. Following my retirement from working on ships, I moved to far northern New Hampshire. How about you?

In 1979, as student from the Licée Français Charles Lepierre, I was admitted twice in the Clemenceau when she was moored in Lisbon. Etendards IV, huge F-8E Crusaders, Alizées and brand new Super Etendards. I was 13 and absolutely extatic!!

Dans les anées 70 j'habitait tout prés du Lycée Français - j'habite toujours - et tout le monde dans mon immeuble etait Français, Suisse ou Belge. Nous ettions la seule famille Portuguaise! Je croit bien que j'ai vu tous les films de Louis de Funes, plusieurs fois! 😂 Et la serie Les Chevaliers du Ciel. (Tanguy et Laverdure) Et d'Asterix le Gaulois. Le Lycée est toujours lá, il a grandit plusieurs fois et est toujours plein, maintenant il est guardé en permanence par la Police Portuguaise, bien armée. Je me souvient bien quand Pompidou est mort. Et LES GALAPIATS a la Tele, vous vous souvenez ??? ❤👍 Si vous êtes trop jeune cherchez ici, dans KZfaq...

This is an amazing video. Truly hypnotizing. Seriously beautiful machines and breathtaking views. Official French Navy recruiting film? If not - they should buy this. Immediately. Even I feel the urge to join and I’m not French. Oh why wasn’t I born in a nation with aicraft carriers? It isn’t fair. These guys are up there right now as I write this, somewhere on the globe. Clairement, les gens en France ne se rendent pas compte que nous sommes dans le "Top" mondial avec nos armées. On est un des rares pays au monde à concevoir fabriquer nos avions, nos hélico et la grosse majorité de nos équipements. On a les savoir-faire en compétences et technologiques pour concevoir fabriquer aussi un porte avion nucléaires, des sous marins nucléaire d'attaque ou SNLE avec leurs vecteurs en fait la dissuasion complète (et toutes nos frégates avec les MDCN, Aster....)Un des, rares pays à disposer de son propre arsenal technologique de renseignements avec nos satellites et sites d'interception des communications dans le monde, le seul pays au monde avec les usa de savoir interceptér en finesse les câbles sous marins. On nous compare souvent avec la Grande Bretagne, hors les britanniques sont presque entièrement dépendants pour leur défense voir entièrement pour leur renseignement technologique. Les français passent trop de temps à dénigrer leur propre pays. Donc comme tu dis Neptune : Gloire à nos armées à notre pays vive la France 🇫🇷🇫🇷🇫🇷🇫🇷💪

Je sait que ça a pas bcp de sens d'écrire tout ça ici mais j'avait besoin de lâchez quelque choses, quelques mots. Merci pour ces vidéos magnifique qui retranscrivent a merveille ce que l'on ressent quand on plane au dessus des nuages.

@@celtoroma4013 Croatian government has just agreed upon to buy 12 used Rafale F3R jets that are gonna be delivered in 2024. and 2025. All planes are gonna be relatively new, oldest ones of which used only for ten years! Thank you pal!

La 4K est fait pour les enfants qui croient, comme l'IA est une supercherie, pas besoin l'oeil humain ne peut faire la différence, il faut grandir et rester humble comme nos pilotes! merci.
