Château Clarke có nguồn gốc từ thế kỷ 12 khi các tu sĩ thuộc dòng xitô của tu viện Vertheuil trồng những gốc nho đầu tiên. Sau này, hiệp sĩ Tobie Clarke đã mua lại mảnh đất và cho nó mang tên mình từ năm 1818. Sau nhiều lần đổi chủ, lâu đài rượu vang này đã được Nam tước Edmond de Rothschild mua lại vào năm 1973 .

The origins of the Château Clarke estate date back to the 12th century when the Cistercian monks of the Vertheuil Abbey
planted the first vines. Much more recently, the knight Tobie Clarke purchased the land that would permanently bear his name in 1818. Then, after being repeatedly handed down and finally sold, the property was bought in 1973 by the Baron Edmond de Rothschild.
