The American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers (ASCAP) announced in June that Chattanooga's Southside Social is being sued alongside other venues for playing music without a proper license.
We reached out to ASCAP about this and a representative told us in a statement, "Southside Social was previously licensed by ASCAP, but they stopped paying their license fees and so have not been licensed since 2019."
