"Methamphetamine[note 1] (contracted from N-methylamphetamine) is a potent central nervous system (CNS) stimulant that is mainly used as a recreational drug and less commonly as a second-line treatment for attention deficit hyperactivity disorder and obesity.[17] Methamphetamine was discovered in 1893 and exists as two enantiomers: levo-methamphetamine and dextro-methamphetamine.[note 2] Methamphetamine properly refers to a specific chemical, the racemic free base, which is an equal mixture of levomethamphetamine and dextromethamphetamine in their pure amine forms. It is rarely prescribed over concerns involving human neurotoxicity and potential for recreational use as an aphrodisiac and euphoriant, among other concerns, as well as the availability of safer substitute drugs with comparable treatment efficacy. Dextromethamphetamine is a much stronger CNS stimulant than levomethamphetamine." - wikipedia

"When you want to outsmart the devil, don't tell him first." -Alan Watts The reason the last day was like any other day is because whenever you give yourself dialogue, and say in your head "I'm gonna stop", it's still up for debate. You can't say youre gonna stop doing something and succeed. You simply have to stop the actions in the moment. Not deliberate it beforehand. A lot of ex addicts have stories of spontaneously quitting. There doesn't always need to be some sort of all time low or anything.

These addict people are extremely selfish and self centered. This is from a lack of perspective, maturity, and negligence for others. This type of thinking is the required foundation to start doing anything destructive. Try looking through this lense as a thought experiment. See his me me me I i I philosophy. The always choose to check out of life rather than effort to improve themselves. No friends? Work on being social Skinny or fat freakshow? Work on your health Broke? Get a job Not paid enough? I was a drug addict from 17-23. Started with a traumatic series of events and one cigarette... It snowballed and from 18-21 I was addicted to Methamphetamine until, by sheer dumb luck, everything in my life fell apart. I was forced to rebuild the foundation of my mind. I love that this guy is open about his experience in overcoming that greater evil... A lot of people think they're stuck permanently, but that's a f*cking mindset. I could probably write a book about how the shitty things in my life, became my greatest lessons and those lessons transformed the way I now handle depression, anxiety, laziness and how powerful the body actually is in repairing psychic and physical damage. Love this shit.

I have a weird addiction: I'm addicted to hearing about and seeing hard core drug use. I'm not kidding. It started when I was 15. They showed me The Dark End of the Street, an old HBO doc about black tar heroin addicts in San Francisco in the 90s. I remember for the rest of that day I felt very strange. I was too young to understand the feelings back then, but now I think they were a mixture of sandness, compassion, morbid fascination, and schadenfreude. I've watched tons of documentaries about drug use since then. I can't get enough. I've seen all of CG Kid's KZfaq videos. I'm 34 now. I've never done hard drugs, thank God, but I did have a fairly strong weed addiction in my early 20s. After all these years I've learned that we're all addicted to something. And many of our addictions are deadly and we don't realize it. For example, I know some people that are addicted to salt. They over salt their food. Well, that can kill you. Too much salt will fuck up your body. We all gravitate towards addictions because we all have complexes and spiritual voids , even if we don't realize it.
@ethanknight9128

I love this breakdown of your thoughts. Your curiosity as an adolescent makes sense to me because at that age in your life, you’re trying to gather an identity and attempting to experience a range of emotions and life choices. This allows you to gain perspective. It’s pretty common to hear about multiple identity shifts as a teen, “it’s not a phase mom” is a frequently used cultural phrase. I like how you step back and reflect on the true meaning of an addiction as well. However I think you lose distinction and overall meaning when you contribute “complexes and spiritual voids” as the main cause of addictions. Consider the chemical reason why someone is addicted to salt. Scientific literature agrees that sodium is chemically addictive, people do not consume excessive amounts of salt due to a lack of spirituality. Additionally, if you are raised in a household where indulgence is demonstrated by your parents, you’re going to indulge similarly without any seconds thoughts unless you are cognizant/mature enough to recognize. I think spirituality (not organized religion) has its merits, but by accepting the statement: ‘addictions are caused by a lack of spirituality’ is to ignore the genuine issue. Addicts become addicts due to a large of web of intertwined reasons; poverty and its effects on the community, over prescribed opiates, lack of drug literacy and general education, etc. To say an addict is an addict because they are not spiritual is to say that their addiction is of entirely their own fault.

I did Coke for 2 years and then couldn't afford it so I went to my Dr and I was prescribed Adderall and then dextroamphetamine.... Once that wasn't enough I tried meth and was hooked instantly! I was addicted for 3 years constantly snorting meth and taking xanax to actually sleep but I've been sober for a little over a year and it's amazing

Joe rogaine Xanax withdrawal was horrible, it was worse than alcohol withdrawal for me. I would wake up with cold sweats, then I started having hallucinations and couldn't sleep because my whole body was in pain and constantly thinking someone was there and mind you meth psychosis wasn't helping either with the whole situation. After about 3-4 days I couldn't take it and told my parents about it and went to the hospital which I'm greatful I did because I started having seizures within an hour of getting to the hospital.Meth withdrawal is very mental not so much physical... It was the hardest drug too stop for me! I would constantly sit there and cry for what I've put my family through, it was very emotional once I stopped snorting it. I still hear voices in my head about meth, I constantly think someone is there talking bad about me and sometimes I hear positive thoughts but not very much.

Brent Nicol i salute you dude, that sounds god awful. Im an ex heroin addict and went through some terrible withdrawals as well. The worst part about our addictions is that even a few years after getting clean - we still feel empty in some way, right? I hope the drugs we did in the past arent a permanent set back for our future. The world seems so dark and scary without our drugs of choice. Best of luck to you man, thanks for sharing your story

U and i are very lucky to be alive my friend. Xanax bout killed me. I was locked up for hitting a parked car, driving with no license, only five days.... While in there i had a seizure. They only gave me an immodium, and half an ibuprofen. I was scared to death i wasnt gonna make it. It was an outta body experience. I wouldn't wish what i went thru on my worst enemy. I felt like i was gonna explode. I was hearing stuff, seeing stuff, could barely walk. I didnt sleep for 8 days except maybe 2 hours, in maybe 12 minute sperts. I am so glad i quit taking them. Some doctors just give u what they can to get u outta their hair. I had major issues, but giving me benzos was one of the worst things i ever have been given. I think theyre the devil, and should be taken completely off the map. There are many other things that can be helpful. Sending u lots of love💙❤

@@Vitorruy1 Have you read the research on how this drug destroys certain brain cells that can not be replaced? I do agree that the brain can recover from certain things however the brain is an organ...not God. The brain does not reproduce what is destroyed totally. Please do your research sir.

I like your funny vibe. You’re almost making fun of everyone while also being genuinely concerned. It’s interesting bc looking at you makes me wanna laugh and tell jokes w/ you or something. I bet u get that a lot.
