The Rational Male Book ▶ amzn.to/2Ta7q73
"The Rational Male is a rational and pragmatic approach to intergender dynamics and the social and psychological underpinnings of intergender relations. The book is the compiled, ten-year core writing of author/blogger Rollo Tomassi from therationalmale.com. Rollo Tomassi is one of the leading voices in the globally growing, male-focused online consortium known as the "Manosphere".Outlined are the concepts of positive masculinity, the feminine imperative, plate theory, operative social conventions and the core psychological theory behind Game awareness and "red pill" ideology. Tomassi explains and outlines the principles of intergender social dynamics and foundational reasoning behind them." - amazon

I just wan't to warn you: people like Rollo and ''Red Pill'' people exploit low self-esteem men into believing women all behave the same way, and more often than not portrays them in 'slightly' misogynistic ways. I used to believe Red Pill ideology, but I actually started hanging out with girls and realized that most women want somebody who is interesting and caring. Just. Like. Guys. There are also a million reasons why you should put somebody else before yourself. Rollo has a kid and still says things like ''I put my life before anybody else's''.

@fuzzylogiceire 4 жыл бұрын
@@maestro7058 I didn't make the original comment so I won't speak for what meaning he personally took from the book. Maybe Brandon will reply later. I will say that Hypergamy is one of the things Rollo talks about most. I would watch the presentation he gave 'The Rational Male - Hypergamy: Micro to Macro'. It's on KZfaq. There's too much in the books to mention in one single comment but Rollos basic idea behind hypergamy is women perceiving men differently, she'll make rules for the beta and break them for the alpha. A girl who won't have sex with someone she views as long term relationship material for several dates, but then has sex with a guy within 10 minutes because that guy triggers raw desire in her. It's all about womens short term and long term mating strategies. But that video will explain it a lot better. I really like when he talks about not being able to negotiate desire. It's pretty liberating because it reinforces that if a girl is really into you, she won't start being flakey and giving mixed messages. She'll want to make plans with you, no bullshit. The idea that you can't talk someone into having chemistry, it's either there or its not. Of course there are ways to change it by lifting weights, improving status/finances etc. You can improve your odds. Yeah, I'd imagine the book on goodreads was the red covered one? It's just called the Rational Male, that's the one to get first.

It makes me happy to hear someone bringing awareness to the way men can make themselves too vulnerable to their relationships. I've known a good handful of men who decided that pursuing a certain woman in their lives was all that matters. And those stories don't end so well. I think if men supported each other better emotionally, they might not feel the need to place so much reliance on their romantic relationships. But maybe that's just my point of view.

Male empowerment..... you mean simple male leadership, that males should've been taught by their fathers. I don't completely blame fathers, because some either don't have one, or their fathers grew up in a different time where these conversations weren't required. Nevertheless, this is simple coming of age stuff that's not taught in western culture, as other narratives have taken primary importance. I get your point by calling it male empowerment, but to me it's a weird way of putting it.

But when someone like Rollo details it out you just feel how powerful this is and applicable to your experience. Also I've read many many books, which were written artfully, but then you listen to the author and it's almost like a different person in a conversation. But Rollo has both, analytical part on paper and an ability to articulate his ideas as part of the conversation. Keep up the great work Rollo.

This is a great video. Rollo's experience with the "crazy" chick and his awakening is very similar to my own. The woman who twisted my soul was BPD and highly narcissistic. In the course of a few years, I abandoned everything that I wanted for and in my life in order to appease this insatiable woman. While it was the worst personal "storm" I ever endured, it was also the most liberating. Rollo's work has been revolutionary for men in this current system of things.

I like his quote, "Stop using woman as the metric by which you measure yourself" This is something I struggle with alot from the age of 21-27. I am 27 now and I still measure my value by the girls that I hook up with. I think it's very difficult for men in that age range to not measure themselves in that way. I think there comes a point where wealth and health become more important, but I think that comes later in life.

Making sacrifices is something that is usually required from both male and female if they intend on a long term committed relationship. But the man should never un-become his true self simply for the sake of the relationship. Even if it all works out, subconsciously she will resent him for not becoming or chasing his true purpose. Money and looks aren't everything. Character and vibration are what creates the draw. KNOW WHO YOU ARE, AND BE IT.

This is stuff that we all kind of just know on some level, just from living in the world for awhile, but before the advent of the general concept of redpill awareness, most of us had to figure it out from experience and introspection and observation. Having it presented to us in a basic, matter-of-fact fashion is something a lot of us (and more in the future with the growing worship and incentivization of single motherhood) don't get at home or through traditional family connections. We (men) don't get much "this is how things are, and you can figure out how to deal with it" at home.
