After 10 years of collecting, I'm starting to fill some of the last and most epic "gaps" on my vintage wishlist. Anyone got an emerald green 1940's suit out there in my size? Thanks Diana! I'm afraid I don't know how the magic of Lilly Ann is done, I have no tailoring training, so it is just as much a mystery to me! This is why I sew dresses but buy suits, because suiting is so advanced to me 😅

I always wonder why no one 3D scans the vintage combs, "corrects" any damage and then flattens the design for 3D printing. Giant, glorious combs for the masses, dangit!

I like this type of educational experience. That there are more than just a few items to show is even better. I don't care so much for the constant "haul" videos out there. Especially fast fashion ones, where the items end up in the trash... Vintage however is an investment and as sustainable as it gets as far as fashion goes. You should feel good about all of the things! Everyone has a different idea of treasures and i think those are all beautiful. The misty scarf is the best! Thanks for sharing.

I'd never heard of them prior to Bianca's videos, and now I'm seriously wondering if some beautiful vintage clip-on earrings can be repurposed for that! 😆 I find them too painful as ear accessories, but would love to showcase them at a neckline...?

Yes please, vintage handbags! Glad there are ‘dragons’ hoarding who are willing to share views of the treasures they are protecting, and hopefully using with joy. I wonder if another is watching you, with a slightly guilty tickle at the back of her neck, and the iridescent green beaded box bag in her collection, unused?

In Rome there are several shops that have beautiful gloves in all sizes and all colours. Magnificent! The best excuse ever to go to Rome - gloves and shoes! Oh, and there are some ancient ruins there too. And really good food! :)

I actually have a smaller clutch purse version of that which I found at an op shop! I don't think it's something I would ever use, but I really enjoy seeing it displayed in my lounge... the beads are so iridescent and detailed!

I would really appreciate the scarf video. I have a small scarf obsession myself due to some hair loss and love to find scarfs on the days when I don’t feel like wearing a wig.

In high school I carried a 1940s telephone purse for years. I wore it out until there was very little that I or my mom could do to fix it despite us both being crafty sewists. I still mourn that damn bag. I wish I still had it today. what a fabulous gift to yourself for your birthday.

@@bhaka4521 It's less that my Blade Runner dress was inspired by the Lilli Ann's, and more that the original costumes from Blade Runner itself were directly inspired by the Lilli Ann and Adrian suits of the '40s, and then my dress is based off of the BR suit, it's a big circle of inspiration really 😂

I have had to drape my scarves over towel racks screwed to the back of my bedroom door so I will remember to wear them! The beaded box handbag took me back to my childhood in the 1950’s when two Church ladies had them and the glitter fascinated me.

Wow!! You got some really good buys there!! I had never seen the telephone cord purse before, ever! That is amazing. The suit is absolutely the star for me. Stunning. The dress clips that came as a pair, could also be used as decorations on pumps. That is how I usually use them. Thanks so much for this video!

I love the hair comb!!! It looks fabulous!!! Iron Fretwork. It does look like a Tiara!!! Pretty dress clips. By the way, love the new white dress!!! Would it be possible to convert clip-on earrings into dress clips??? Love the 🕷 pin/clip!!! Looks great on the white dress!!! ♥️♥️♥️. Gloves 🧤 are wonderful!!! My faves are the Stetsons!!! I have drawerfuls - multiple drawers - of scarves & pashminas!!! O.M.G. Too much!!! Holey Moley!!! The green scarf is too much!!! I love it!!! The telephone cord clutch is so unique!!! Pitch: A Moth Suit - all in greys and dusty taupes, woolen pencil skirt and jacket with a faux fur collar or stole, that butterfly scarf around your neck peeking all bunched up from under the jacket, lil furry hat with a cobwebby dusty grey veil, maybe a muff, and BIG feathery grey eyelashes.

Beautiful item. In not sure I have a favorite they were all so nice!! I asked my mom one time about the dress clips and she had some that were my grand. She said they were normally worn to hold all the straps together with bras slips and dresses in the twenties and thirties so your straps wouldn't shift and show.

When I saw the Spanish comb I got sidetracked into looking up the name of it. I knew the name of the laces scarves, manilla. The name of the comb is peineta. And boy did I slide down that rabbit hole! I love scarves, gloves, and clips. Hair ornaments are also my jam!

My favourites of your finds would have to be the beaded box handbag, the green silk scarf and last but the very opposite of least- that black suit! Finding something like that in my size is completely out of the question, so if I wanted one, I’d have to make it myself. What a find!

The hair comb is so wonderful. Enjoyed the scarves, too. Would love to see how you mix them into your look, as I just bought a bunch of scarves (including one from Echo, who I hadn't heard of before). Hoping I can learn to tie them properly to cover my head, since I'm going to be on a med that causes hair loss, alas. I always love the stash videos and leap to watch them.

The suit and the green scarf stole the show for me. Absolutely stunning. And sure, I'll happily watch a video about either scarves or handbags 🙂. I've always wanted to try making gloves, btw. My fingers are so long, that even with larger glove sizes, my nails will poke holes in any ready made glove very quickly. Plus it's not exactly very comfortable. I bet, it's super fiddly, though!

I found five lilli ann ensembles of coat and dress from the 60s that are a twelve or 14. I am not a collector but recognized the quality. Look like they have never been worn.

Gorgeous!! I've been slowly amassing a collection of handmade doilies; crocheted, pillow lace,, etc.... such incredibly fine work - so I'm thinking of sewing some kind of blouse that would allow me to wear them like.... a flounce\cravat type thing? So they could be seen and appreciated. Crazy? I'm only just learning to sew, but your beautiful clothes, and amazing collections are inspiring me!

I have a constantly growing collection of cotton vintage doilies too & definitely use them to source lace edging for blouse collars & cuffs, skirt decoration etc. Am hoping to do a really good A-line black cotton skirt at some stage with white doilies scattered on it like snowflakes!

I know it is a year later, but I had never seen a long strip “plastic flex” clutch outside of my ward’s catalog (which I hadn’t paid attention to) until I saw yours. And then about two weeks ago I searched “vintage plastic purse” randomly and one “popped up” in all black…for $36 total!! I was so excited! Snapped it up in about 30 seconds flat. Thanks for sharing your collection!

I was given a bunch of gorgeous vintage gloves as a child, but didn't keep them; even then the fingers were not long enough and things not fitting correctly causes me severe anxiety... also, I didn't really play dress up 🤷🏽♀️ As an adult, I wish that I would have held onto them for the same reason that the original person had held onto them; there was a blue pair with buttons on the side and a *red* pair with little bows on top if the wrist and a plain black. 💗

your sheer glove story reminded me of this 2004 artsy French film called Innocence (gosh, I felt so pretentious just writing it) about a group of girls in a strange boarding school. one of the themes is the transition from childhood to adulthood and there's a scene where a girl finds a glove and the glove's touch is her discovery of, say, sensuality... that said, a little deviousness and scandalous necklines is most welcome ;)
