Hi there, I have last been to Koh Sumui back in 2016 and to my recollection, Chaweng Beach Road appears to be a lot more “damaged” since then, with construction, vacant plots and demolished buildings) seemingly a result of the two year neglect as a result of the covid period? Not sure if you would agree?

The island had a great opportunity to repave Chaweng Beach road during the Coof....but failed. There is quite a few vacant buildings still....I suspect if the Marijuana bill is passed in April 2025 there will be dozens of shops empty along that stretch of road....already quite a few are up for sale.....keepin it Real in Thailand!
