@@patrickwoodlands4086 Probably for targeting his own stuff to save it plays. Stuff like using spot removal on your own things to prevent exiles if that's important to you.

Just wanted to say watching these videos has got me playing this format. I was always so intimidated by not having enough wildcards from it but realizing wincons are kinda repeatable between decks has helped me make one!

it's super fun format to buy into, but so many staples mean once you have collection set up its pretty budget friendly. when I started I also skimped on proper lands and just accepted sometimes you lose to that, which is fine as theres no rank!

Kind of annoying since there isnt a ranked everyone will scoop if they dont have a broken hand. People scoop if you remove or counter their commander once

Back when Gitrog first got added to Arena I logged on for the first time in months to craft it and try to play brawl with it, so glad you did a video on it

The first card I looked for in your list was Scute Swarm. I run it in my version, which is more landfall based, and it has won several games for me. Having it on the field when you Scapeshift or Splendid Reclamation is very fun.

i enjoy standard but it can get stressful grinding out on it, so casual formats are nice when you want to play magic and not really worry about winning and more about having fun and pulling off fun combos.

I've been watching you for years, and the cHB videos are now my favorites. I'm always disappointed when they end. I enjoy and respect that you play thoughtful, interesting commanders. Admittedly I'm a commander noob, but I would never think to put together the types of decks that you do, and I can only imagine how poorly I'd play them. The CGB flex is real in cHB.

I play a copy of Final Parting. Usually will find Ramunap/Crucible to hand and Fabled Passage to graveyard. Draws a card with Gitrog out too.

I'm obsessed with lands matter decks since I get mana screwed 50% of my matches with 26 lands in standard so I appreciate the change of pace!

I probably run more 1-2 mana cantrips than I should just to avoid mana screw, so feel you on that! I also frequently bust out my 60-ish land Azusa brawl deck for the "play X lands" quest :)

is windgrace or gitrog the better lands commander? i feel like gitrog is weaker vs removal but grows bigget so much faster while windgrace can play and ramp more safely but sometimes can be to slow or get stuck vs the decks that go bigget like jodah, shrines, etc

Have you ever tried Kaya Giest Hunter token sacrifice in Historic Brawl? It eaks out a ton of value and I've been dominating with it lately. It's not super high tier, but I'd be curious to see what your take on it would be. Also love the videos and continue make brawl and commander content!!!

I want a ranked Historic Brawl queue. Alchemy and Historic were flops but Historic Brawl was not, so they should lean into that.

I prefer the UG Frog Horror. Sure he's probably worse but nothing beats casting a casultied cut your losses on yourself and draw 50 cards. Also with goldspan being back to it's heroic state you light want to give vadrok another try. The deck is super fun and quite powerful (sadly it works best with some of the new alchemy cards that allow you to conjure copies of a creature into your hand as you get the entire mutate pile into your hand)

I know reliquary tower doesn't go in every deck but why would it be a bad fit in Ivy? I'm curious because I built her in paper and I'm constantly discarding to hand size whenever I play with her.

Well, like you saw in the game in this video it's really bad if you have to play it early, because ivy+protection spell is very heavy on the coloured mana pips. You can avoid this problem by just running a decently high land count, though.

Not only does scape shift not work the way you think it does with frog, but since you have so many ways to utilize your graveyard, discarding to hand size is really not much of a downside - discarding at least one land even draws another card immediately with gitrog in play. If you are playing this commander optimally with underworld Lich + syr konrad otk, discarding to hand size can actually be lethal. Not to mention tower makes your mana base worse.
