In general, the TI units are faster in response to inputs. This is seen when quickly switching between sonar, downscan, chart, and split screens kzfaq.infoUgkxeAxH15LxhjGlg5-CRYqjTGTEH0tbY4vk recommend The Hook units will show some lag on button pushes and screen switching. The big ticket item though is maps. If you install a mapping card such as Navionics or the free C-Map Genesis which has a lot of map detail, then moving around the map with the cursor or when running down the lake can lag significantly on the Hook units, but is seamless with the TI units.

When I fish a spoon I just reel it in consistent and try to keep it as close to the bottom as much as possible. I catch a lot of pike on them here in Wisconsin but they are good for bass too.

Try a snap swivel on those spoons....the ones with the little safety latch so they dont open..... prevents line from twisting alot

I love spoon fishing, I use it for Muskie fishing a lot, so you really wanna just reel it, there’s different types of spoons for different types fishing but the most common way is just reeling it in and feeling your pole jiggle. Hope that helps you out!

Saw this video and went out and bought that exact same rod and reel combo. I have to say, it's now my favorite combo. I've always used a Medium-Heavy setup but ever since I got that new spinner combo, I've landed more fish. I think it's because I can actually feel the bites better with it. A lot of times with my medium setup, I couldn't really tell if I had a fish on or not. But with the light weight combo, there's no mistaking if you have a fish. You'll definitely feel it. I would recommend people to go out and give this combo a try and see for themselves. It's definitely worth the $50. Just look up Lews Xfinity XJ Speed Stick Spinner Combo. Should be the first thing that pops up. The only thing I don't like about it is that Im I'm having to clean the green handle and crank because they get dirty very easily.

Fun video, I'm glad the guy is letting you fish that day at least. For spoons, I have pretty good luck fishing it like a popping cork; fall to the bottom, pop up, slow fall. But as you saw, snags are a big problem!! I also have luck with just a regular fast retrieve on choppy days. Last thought: you CRACK ME UP. Your "little bitty jig head" song is going to be playing in my head the rest of the day LOL

Vertical spoon jigging is very difficult to do off the shore line. I’ve only seen it done successfully from a boat. You’re still awesome!!!

back in the day i used to have good luck on yellow with red diamond spoons just casting and reeling and twitching them around. Killed the pike and bass on some of my local lakes here in WI
