Checked price for here in the AZ. $1380 total. That’s cheaper than that one sold by Tandy, and a lot quieter. Ordered mine today. Quick note though, if you really want a machine, save up for it. With this instant gratification society now days, nobody saves up for what they really want. I really wanted a machine so I saved up for a year and I’m paying cash, no finance charge to the bank and it’s mine. Totally worth it! Good luck out there!

In China a lot of shoe manufacturers are using this leather sewing machine, but high end shoe manufacturers prefer triple feed leather stitch, such as Hightex 205-370

I just bought one of those cheap Chinese shoe patcher machines it's really horrible but it works brilliantly, cost fifty quid and worked great straight out of the box, I'd love this machine

That shoe patching machine cannot work for professional leather worker. If you need to sew heavy leather or thick thread, CB105 could be good option.

Nice stitch - I was surprised you did not "half-stitch" and bring the needle up when turning the corner. I will skip a stitch doing this on the Cobra (Class 4) and Juki (562, small bobin) too.

Richard, the needle can be in UP or DOWN position if you use Hightex HVE-90 servomotor. Usually the needle should be in DOWN position when turning the corner.

FIRST: Do you expect this to be about $150? Second, its the exact same machine as mine but mine is a techsew 3650HD and it was about $1400 with table and servo motor. I don't know what these guys sell theirs for but its a license made machine so several companies sell this with their sticker on it.

These are very good machines. I've got a 4500. And I might add Ryan is a stand up guy. I bought mine from Solar, which went out of business. Mine jumped time and he helped me re time it. He didn't have to.

Tandy Leather sells the Tipman hand operated stitcher for $1500. No table, no motor, no reverse. $1700 seems like a deal to me. I’m glad I found this machine while looking for info on the Tipman.

I noticed that you didn't have to adjust the thread tension for the two weights of leather, and the bobbin thread pulled up nicely in between the thicknesses of leather. Nice. Is that the way this machine works? Does it adjust thread tension automatically to achieve this? Thanks, Ellis

Ellis, it is every heavy leather stitching machine, will not realize small difference in thickness. For example the powerful truck, 1 or 2 T of cargo more will not result in the performance. If you change the material a lot, for example, from 1 to 4 ply leather, or change the thread from V138 to V277, you have to adjust the bobbin thread and thread tension.

I have an automotive upholstery shop. I'm self taught been doing this for twenty years or so and my old machines are shot and to small. I have access to a Juki 341 and a 441 cylinder bed machines. The only thing i don't like bout the 341 is the clearance under the presser foot that is only bout just under a half an inch. The 441 has almost onne inch. Bur some friends say that the 441 is to big and heavey for the work i do. And will not do well with auto Upholstery vinyl and cloth. The people telling me this haveo hands on with the 441. I've looked everywhere I can think and can't really find a difibatve answer. PLEASE I NEED YOUR HELP. I am in a rural area and have no other pies to talk to. So I if you can help it would be greatly appreciated. If I had the money I'd buy both cause they seem to be great machines.

Dear Lyle, automotive upholstery usually requires perfect stitch quality. If you just basically assemble upholstery piece, CowBoy CB341 (=Juki LS-341) and CB4500 (=Juki TSC-441) leather ewing machine are the good choice. But if you expect perfect quality for high end customers, you need better quality machine, CB6900 (=Juki LS-1341, for regular upholstery thread, watch the video kzfaq.info/get/bejne/j72abLt90bq1m5c.html) or 205-370BF (=Durkopp Adler 205-370, for thick thread decorative seams, watch the video kzfaq.info/get/bejne/g72qfslm3L--gZ8.html). For thick spots or overlapping cross seams in the sewing production of car seat cover, 205-370BF is the best industrial upholstery sewing machine.

You have mentioned that this machine also allows for tight , compact area. What is your recommendation of a patcher which has a very narrow small long arm? I also noticed that some machine seem to have two foots installed at the same time, one seems to help walk the materials and the other is doing the stiching. Is this kind of machine a better machine or just a change of different foots?

"two foots installed at the same time" is so called "walking foot", all top and bottom feet or triple feed (compound feed) industrial sewing machines have "walking foot". CB105 leather stitcher is drop feed (feed dog) only, is for beginner of leather worker. If you are professional saddlery or leather craftsman, it is necessary to have a triple feed leather sewing machines, such as Cowboy CB3200, CB3500 and CB4500.

I'm very interested in this machine. Only one thing concerns me at 4:08 you can see the presser foot marks besides the stitching path. I make very fine leather goods so those marks would really be a problem for me. Is there a solution to that? Thanks in advance.

You mean the teeth mark underside of leather? Cannot avoid. CB105 is drop feed leather stitching machine, the leather feed by the feed dog. If no teeth on feed dog, it cannot feed the leather. If you want to avoid mark underside leather, you can consider CowBoy CB3200 or CowBoy CB4500 leather sewing machine, with non-teeth feed dog. These leather stitchers are triple feed (needle feed, feed dog and walking foot), even no teeth on feed dog, the leather still can be feed evenly.

What's the thread size you are using? CB105 is good machine for beginner, but CB3200 professional machine maybe better, for future need. It is not easy to deliver a machine to Panama. You cannot buy one leather stitchign machine now, and buy another machine in 1-2 years.

The slowest speed seems much too fast for precision sewing rounded corners. I see you did your demo with sharp corners. Probably better to buy something higher end first and, later, if you need a cheap second for some special products this might fit the bill.

the DEMO video is not slowest sewing speed. The speed of Hightex servo motor can be down to 300 RPM, with ration of large flywheel and speed reducer, the actual sewing speed is 60 stitch per minute. If it still not slow enough, you can consider OUTLAW hand cranked leather sewing machine, you can make detailed sewing "stitch by stitch".

That's true, but only professional leather sewing machine can make good finish on leather goods. If you can wait for couple month, you can expect for the OUTLAW leather hand stitcher. It will be great machine for leather worker, but still not cheap!!

Im looking for a machine thats around maybe 5-$600 that can sew stiff tractor trailer ratchet straps. Im torn between a sailrite or a commercial/industrial machine with a servo motor.I'll probably be getting it off Ebay when I have the money saved up.

Sailrite industrial sewing machine can sew ratchet straps, but the price should be over $1500.00 USD, $600.00 USD only can by their portable sewing machine. Usually lashing strap requires V277 (840dx3) thick thread, you need an industrial sewing machine with large rotary hook. If we have perfection sewing solution for this industry, but our machines are expensive, due its high performance and quality.

See it wasn't that hard to give a general price range. Any time someone won't give the price, it means it costs too much and they don't want to scare people off with the price. For most people $1300 is not CHEAP. Next time say something like Cost effective or something.

You cant tell the internet how much something is in every place because its different in every place. bunch of fakers trying to make someone feel like they lost a sale. you are not serious or you would find out. you just want to make someone jump to your bark. any real interested person would inquire and follow the procedures to get the product they want, not make fake empty threats and act so stuck up. it took me two or three interactions to find a dealer and get a price on what i was looking for. the internet is make you lazy.
