Review of this cheap Chinese Ebay, Wish, Amazon Chronograph, is it any good or are you throwing away your money?

I have the exact same chronograph, yes it does infact have a fps mode! When you turn it on wait until it says PS Then push the button once quickly it then will show fps you must do this every time you start it up.

About 25 quid at the moment but good to see an in use review, cheers 👍 Edit* the one (Same looking model) I just received has a shot count record function accessed by pressing the button after a shot/magazine full, not sure how high it goes but it clears after switching off.

I wanted to see what these were like, thank's for the vid. So how do you find it now, still pretty good? I see them on many other sites too, it's on all the major shopping sites from China and ones here. Sooo cheap, and it's nice and small.

Your nitro piston BB will show more power with lighter pellets. PCP rifles show more power with heavier pellets.

When it displays SU, you should enter the pellet weight in Grams not Grains as per instructions or you will not get the correct MS reading.

My instructions say, "if only measure the velocity, it is not required to set the gram weight of the projectile"

@@Kincop Yes it arrived all in one piece and around the average time for delivery. I compared readings alongside another more expensive unit at the club and there was a difference in the readings but nothing drastic. Its consistent in its measuring so , yes Im pleased with it. Perhaps should calibrate it with one or two more and get an average to work on but TBH for my needs it telling me if Im losing or gaining power and if Im close to the limit or not.

I read the advert for this and it states up to 10g pellets so your heavy pellets would Read false

Hi there watched your KZfaq video couple of days ago,I have the same Connorgraph. after you have switched it on and it's cycles through the numbers you should see PS. hold down button count of 3 it will put it in FPS.i hope you read this and find it helpful.

Have you tried using it indoors with success ? Usually you need a light source from above for a chronograph to work.

Nah, the wife would go mental if I fired it in the house, all testing done outside.

@@paperballandpentube I shoot in my basement all the time... but they are fairly quiet... my wife still knows when I'm shooting... I use a ProChrono DLX and love it... the smart phone app announces the shot speed... female voice... nothing sexy just numbers though !

No they work great in the dark. I just got one and tested it. Only a flashlight in a complete dark room and it wasn't even pointed at the chrono. Reads perfectly.

The instructions state NOT TO USE IN DIRECT LIGHT! It'll throw off the reading so these are much different that's why it works great in the dark.

Is it realy need to screw that silencer or measurement can be done without screwing(with silencer,shooting barrel be pointed free)?

Yes, if no silencer on, use the barrel clamp supplied and you are good to go. Do not recommend pointed free.

Bought a second hand tx200 ,after 5 years I noticed a drop in power so got it tested, it was shooting 13 ft lb, guy I bought it off had fitted a spring kit from Europe and didn't tell me.

Hi, can you tell me please - when you charge it ,does a led bulb need to blink or it shows nothing?

Hi, there is a light in the cable which comes on. There is no charging light on the unit itself. Best regards

How do you calculate the FPS. My rifle is shooting over 200 and the highest number was 240.

Multiply by 3.28084 to obtain FPS (feet per second).

All you have to do is turn it on when it shows PS push the button quickly and it'll show FPS, you must do this everytime you start it up.

@gerolddo idk 🤷‍♂️ maybe they have different versions ones with fps ones without. I did find it is a lil tricky at 1st you have to just tap the button quickly when it shows ps it then says "fps" but as stated have to do this every time you turn it on. I'd check the description of the seller you bought it from and see if it indicates fps ability. I bought mine on ebay $35 and it does state fps capable.

Hi, good news is that looks like its not broken, from reading my dodgey translation of the manual it appears you have it set to energy test rather than speed test. I think it tells you to long press the function key to choose test type, hope this will cycle through them. Hope this helps.

You can use feet per second, it just defaults back to meters per second on start.

@@paperballandpentube I understand it has a usb connector .However, I need to know which device is required to charge the internal battery. My phone charger has a usb outlet but has an output of 5v approx. I really need to know if this is compatible with the chronograph internal battery.

I've used a mains USB, phone charger and a USB port on a computer and all seemed to work ok. Cheers

@@paperballandpentube Thanks for that . I wasn't quite sure if there was an issue with the phone usb charger having a nominal output of 5v while the internal battery is apparently 3.7v. Cheers.

It's been a couple of years since I bought mine. I can see an identical one on Amazon for 33.51 branded as zonfer but looks exactly the same.

You can access it by taking the top off but it doesn't look like it's meant to be replaced, no. Still seems to charge ok via the USB cable though after quite a bit of use. Cheers.

@@saadmagnum936 Yeah, I just flipped it off with one finger nail, it reveals the circuit board with battery attached. Didn't want to start messing with connections though.

Ok yall I got the Chinese to English translation on this waste of money lol. You will need three apps, the Chinese to English photo translator, a gram to grain converter app and a meters per second to feet per second converter.

Just convert the mps on google then do the calculation on a calc, no app required.

Eh... The beauty of living in Quebec is that we cook with grams but weight in pounds, work with feets but the blueprints are metric, drive in kilometer but boast about speed in miles, buy liters of gaz and gallons of fuel... I could go on and on but lets say a little conversion here and there isn't realy problematic 😉

Man I agree with the other guy... You talk like a Brit. I could start a pot of tea and sit down a have a cup or two while ya wax poetic without actually saying anything useful. Remember some of us Yanks don't even drink coffee anymore we are all hopped up on Monsters and Rockstar's. Our patience is shot. Still that's for the review you did give me what I wanted to know, just sold my Caldwell before buying a new air rifle.. to poor to buy another now. Glad this thing might work for a bit.

@@paperballandpentube Ok Im shooting both airguns & firearms thats why asked. But this chrono is really cheap vs many other brands so I think I will order one. Do you find it heavy on the rifle while mounted on the barrel? Im using scope. Do you see targets if you have a scope mounted while using this chrono?
