Kevin for years we quilters have used a "quilting wall". We use white cotton quilt batting or white fusible fleece. These both would do well and help hold the slippery items better.Both of these are in the quilt batty area of craft stores

I have the same material. Insulation board. Covered with white short fur. The felt sounds like that sticks good. I use clear fishing line and clear hanger so I can just swing the item front to back on a flip. Occasionally I use straight pins if the item moves as that goes easily into insulation foam board. This all works great 🎉

I use a door wreath holder to hang items with hangers. It could go over the top of the board and then the hanger can hang from the other end of it.

I built a vertical flat lay into an unused clothing closet and installed lighting all the way around the closet door frame. So much better for my neck and back and improved my photo quality significantly!

I don't sell a lot of clothes, but around the holidays we still had our air mattress set up in the office where I have my resell area and it was leaning against a wall I had a jacket to post. I used that it worked pretty good. Might be an option for someone, just a tip

I guess I'm the cheap one. I just lay out a white throw blanket over my bed to lay the clothes out to take pics. No material or hooks required to keep the clothes in place. I also position a good ring light above the bed to help the colors look good on the photo.

I use the same insulation board for my flat lays and having tried multiple ways to hold the slick material, I've found that the basic sewing straight pins work great. Thanks for the content.

My set up is a big tall piece of ply wood that I detached from the back of a book shelf. I attached 2 white cardboard pieces , top and bottom to make the pieces wider. Then I draped an off white fabric over the piece. Then leaned it against the wall. I take pics of the clothing in natural light. Previously I bought box lights, umbrella lights, ring lights. But I find the harsh bright light distorts the photos. It took a while to figure it out though. I am happy with the outcome that I achieved. Thank you. Your idea is awesome as it is movable and lightweight.

Get some picture wire (or fishing line) and tape it to the back with a hook on the dumb end. Wrap it around and put the slick clothing on a hangar and hook it in. That way you can hide away the line for things that will stick. To keep it from sliding put a couple stopper blocks on the floor. Use double sided sticky tape or some velcro for the blocks. You can set a couple different angles that way if you want. For the foam strength, what I did for mine was glue/tape in three strips that go top to bottom. **A grey flannel sheet works best for coloring IMO.

You could have a hook to hang over the back for when you want to hang something. Or use a metal hangar and bend the hook so it's over the back of the board. Been trying to make a better flatlay and this really helped

Could use a couple sewing pins or tacks inside the garment at the shoulders to hold slinky items in place.

Unless it is real silk! I'm struggling with a silk gown right now. It won't lay right on a hanger but falls off the board. Looks dumb laying down. I really hate doing clothing pictures!

Glue magnet board or round magnet off Amazon then use magnets to hold in place, happy selling.

If you wouldn't have the hole in the ceiling to help with storage, a large piece of plywood on hinges could have been a drop-down flat board.

I have a similar setup using the insulation. I use a T-Pin for the hanger, and it works perfectly. I use a metal hooked hanger.

It might have been hung from the ceiling with a hinge...also a medium grey slipcover could help with lighter colors.

Hey Kevin, why not put a hook in the seam of your horizontal paneling so you can simply use the hanger. You can also use a dimmer for your lights and perhaps use a supplemental light on the counter seeing as you have an outlets nearby on either side. That to me would be much simpler and less hassle. And if you wanted to change backgrounds or have a solid color, make light weight panels using matte board or washable vinyl, etc... There are a host of better option I think than this one. Just my two cents worth.

well done. While I do this a tad different the basic concept works very well. Its an important aspect when selling clothing to have a simple set up that can work with most clothing. Good content presented very well. .

You could also get one of the over the door hanger in the color white S hook, too if they keep falling but yes, I have something similar made out of wood very heavy with steel sheets screwed in to use with magnetic clips to hold the items using a white pull screen to cover it up to show my white background!

For that ornery jacket that kept sliding down.....maybe try some double-sided tape...it only needs to hold on for a minute or two. Besides the tape found at office supply stores, framers use a double-sided tape to hold mat boards, and there's an upholstery tape that people use to keep rugs from sliding on wood floors. I really like the cutout area at the bottom....great design!

So funny how we buy sell the same thing and work on projects the same I will use that material on my plan perfect! You will need angle iron on that access door as in time it will warp and the bend in the middle will show. a full piece in the middle 3/4” x 3/4”will help a lot a six or four foot long would make a big difference too

Have you considered possibly using white shelving liner that has grip to it? You'd only need it as wide as the item so you could cut it for different sizes. It should be able to grip the felt as well as the fabric. Just a thought, but I really appreciate the foam board concept. I've done the hanging hollow half body type of things but been trying to figure out just how to do flat lays and this looks like an affordable option for me. Thanks
