Thanks for the water tip for clearing the lines, I've had a Pela for ages (and it is fabulously useful) but I'd never thought to use water to clear it at the end!

Hi Paul I have just started mowers for profit I have a sp470 self propelled mower another sp470 sorted both keeping the first one but when picking up the second one I was given a self propelled n Macullick and a qualcast uhh self propelled basically it cost £10 plus fuel the last two machines did work but wonder if you can help do you have a video on the qualcast it’s like new but can not find model looks bit more complex than the mount fields Thought you had a video but can not find it can you help a bit kind regards David

Remove plug boot, Pull cord till about top dead center (hard pull) then tip carb side up! Sorted, "Steve small engine saloon" shared this too. I cleaned my deck yesterday no problems or leeks. I wonder if the pela could vacuum bleed car brakes if done carefully

I use a glass bottle with a metal screw top. 2 plastic tubes through the top and then sealed. 1 tube into the oil, the other into a vacuum cleaner hose using a cloth to create the seal.

I made an extractor by using an exercise ball pump, the pump is normally used to air up balls. But on the other end it creates and holds vacuum. Hook it up to a sturdy vessel, add a nipple with some tubing and pump away.

Put a plastic bag on the fuel filler then screw in the fuel cap and it won't leak.

The rockwood I had was the same as that one off ebay. Unfortunately the pump section ejected the metal disc out of the end on my third use. May be false economy but hopefully others will have better luck than I did! 6.03 for the sun bathing celeb:)

Those cheap extractors last about 3 months. I’ve had 4 warranty replacements now I’ve given up and bought a pneumatic extractor which runs off the compressor much easier and quicker.

to be honest i had one before but i found they take too long to drain. i just tip it on its side and let the oil drain into a container and sharpen the blade and clean while its draining. i have been doing it that way for years and never had a problem and i service customer mowers like that as well.

Nice vid Paul and shirt from MB . 30 weight oil is meant to hold the carbon etc in it as small engines do not run filters . That's why it gets so black . But fair play you are right any oil will do it as long as people change it every year. Cheers Pete.
