Unpacking and installing a cheap universal spoiler/lip from eBay on the decklid of a MK5 VW Jetta. This is a universal 115cm flexible urethane unit that is attached only using two-sided tape.

looks really good! i would use some masking tape or pinstriping tape to mark where the spoiler and trunk lid mate up

Absolutely rock solid. Car is not garaged so it just spent all winter in the ice and cold…..no issues at all.

I want to ask you a favor, in Mexico this model is called Volkswagen Bora, but it bothers me that being a Jetta they don't call it as such, for marketing reasons, okay, the favor is that, if you can provide me with the measurements of the Jetta lyrics? , I mean the Jetta emblem on the trunk please

Interesting, in Europe Bora was the previous model as a cheaper alternative to VW Passat and since about 2004 is no longer produced. Jetta is the following model.

whenever buying anything off email I always look at the dimensions of the item.....the photos tend to make things look bigger than they actually are

typically it does not damage the paint when removed.

spoiler is advertised as 115mm wide....I will measure the trunk lid

I just have a issue with the (3m) tape and heat from sun. Trunk get so hot my spoiler just creeps loose. Anybody get any suggestions?

I haven't had that issue and it has literally been nearly 100 degrees here for the last two weeks. Maybe try a different tape (specifically 3M)

I just bought one but it's very rigid and it seems it can't follow the shape of the trunk

warming mine up is what seemed to help it become more flexible.

@@angelchiscop6351 The double sided tape has been more than adequate. This is the second winter the car has experienced (literally -4F degrees over the weekend) as well as triple digit temps over the summer......the double sided tape is still holing without any issues.

These cars come with a stock spoiler atleast mine did love the content.

If you soak the spoiler in hot water for 15-30 minutes it will uncoil and return to its original shape easily.

It has been on for two years without any issues at any speed. Also no issues with the summer heat and winter ice and cold.

uses car trunk as work table - gag AND it takes 24 hours for that tape to cure. rookie

Its been on for 2 years so the tape cured just fine.
