Here's a decent RC Buggy from HBX (Haiboxing). The 12815 is a 1/12 Scale and comes with oil shocks, 390 motor, metal diff gears, waterproof electronics and a tough chassis! The RC is ideal for kids or beginners that want to get in to the hobby. Really easy to drive and maintain.

Thanks Mark, I'd chose oil shocks over speed in most cases, some much nicer to drive without it bottoming out or bouncing around like a Kangaroo!

I got this because the American driver side is empty and it fits a fpv camera very well. I opened the tx and discovered it has a real 2.4ghz antenna and it could be replaced with an SMA pigtail for adapting a 2.4ghz wifi booster. 👍

What a cracking good video! I loved the way you "spin-dropped" the car to begin the (excellent) montage. Actually, given that manufacturers are on a very tight budget, I´d rather they prioritised oil shocks rather than anodised alloy bits or other useless stuff.

Thanks Del. It's the same with a real car, the handling is sometimes more important than the speed!

Li Know many complain about the plastic driveshafts, honestly I have gone through at least 10 metal upgraded ones, but in yet to break the plastic one. There is another driveshaft not offered by HBX where a metal drive up is used so you get a normal 7mm wheel nut but still use the plastic driveshaft. I strongly recommend that configuration. It is available but as I said sold under a different name.
@TomleyRC
@TomleyRC 5 жыл бұрын
Cheers for the tips dude. Plastic flexes slightly so will take up some fo the torque, poor quality metal cannot handle it!

I'd love to see that with a moderate brushless system and better lipo. I have a Losi Mini8 desert buggy that is brushless and uses a small 2s lipo and its really fast. But not so much that makes it difficult to control. With the reduced price of that HBX and a 380 size brushless system from banggood (also inexpensive) you could have a great little car for less than half the cost of the losi. Great video! 👍

looks VERY Subotech for starters, sure isn't a bad thing, plastics are rigid yet flexible, parts availability is pretty fair. no motor pinion adjustment but you can drop in a 2840 or 2845 brushless pretty painlessly, 3800kv should get it moving REALLY strong.
@TomleyRC

Yes, the Chassis and Transmitter are very Subotech. I think it would handle a mild Brushless quite well.

The system comes from Redcat originally, motor mount is adjustable from 12 to 16. Redcat kt12 was first, then this. And now Funtek dt4. And loads other names but same car

Hi mate, I'm a big fan of the 12815, and have a massively upgraded and also run a FB group about it (bit quiet in the group as now) Spotted this on eBay and thought , hold on. What's this? Do you know if the metal diffs mentioned is planetary inside, and if pinion at end of centre driveshaft is metal, these were the weak points on the 12815, besides that a great truck. That now also has parts in uk under different name.. Cheers
@TomleyRC
@TomleyRC 5 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure about the planetary being metal. But it seems pretty robust.
