We're only a family of 4, but I buy those big cans of tomato sauce too. When they get opened, I use what I need for that day then freeze the rest in 2 cup packages.

I have a Sharp Shopper about 10 minutes away and I have RARELY seen anyonw walk out with less than a heaping cart and having multiple carts is much more normal rhere than a traditional grocery store, so Jamerrill is in very good company! (For reference, we're a family of 7).

I went to the store to buy some vegetable oil, store brand is usually what I buy. It used to be 1.79-1.99 now it's 2.99. I've noticed everything has gone up at least a dollar an item

how crazy to me that you had never had/seen Devil Dogs before! they were a staple snack for packed lunches for me here in Maine, back in the earliest of the 80's seriously - freeze them and try them frozen - sooo good!!!!

Pregnant with baby #2 in December def gonna be stacking up for my siblings, and my daughter & my hubby and I. I’m forced to get over my driving fear lol cause I need a car now with two kids. But a new car now means more grocery shopping lol. I love your meals cause they are gonna help a postpartum mama out so much ! ❤️🥰

I was just complaining to my hubby on Saturday that I could not believe how expensive pasta is right now Lol! Good for you that you stocked up, the cheapest I could find in my town was 95 cents at target 😭

Ouch $.95 ! Last summer my local Shaws ( an affiliate of Albertsons) had Pasta on sale limit 4 boxes $ 39/ box. They had that as a loss leader 3x's so I ended up with 12 boxes plus what I already had- I share with friends and family so I like getting sales.

skins of over ripe Bananas can be used as rose feed, soak the skins in water for a few days at least. I try to do a week and then feed roses with them. You can also put the skin in the pot or plant hole xx

Living far from a store..that sells bulk...my choice is walmart..small lots of empty shelves..prices gotten STUPID..so started using amazon..l am old but cook and prep for grandkids..so freezer deals and l love your shopping trips..stay safe bless you and yours

I never realised how expensive our food is here in New Zealand 😭 honestly I wish we had these cheaper food stores, even if it was just for canned goods.. If anyone is curious, look up Countdown supermarket online shopping NZ and then compare some of the foods your get.. Honestly it's depressing..

I lived in NZ for a while and I remember my first trip to Pak n save and being gobsmacked at the price of crumpets 😆 the £ equivalent for a supermarket own brand pack in the UK is about 60 cents.

Finding chicken legs has been difficult lately we have an 8 lb Chihuahua mix so we boil them for I know I know but he won't eat anything else but lately on Walmart I haven't seen them or if I have they've been tiny little packages thank God for the local butcher that sells them for a good price

We have the same issue by me. My local butcher did have plenty of chicken. It was expensive, probably 40% increase since last time I stocked up at that butcher last December.

I’m from Ohio and went to visit family in Pa. I remembered there was a Sharp Shopper in Pa and it was only 15 minutes out of the way. We made a quick stop and it was amazing. I told my mom we would take a day trip with my larger van and coolers and stock up!

SS far as the pop top cans as soon as you get them home and you have room in your freezer plus extra zip lock bags. Open them up put them in the bags and freeze them! That way you don’t have to worry about the date!

@Jenny Light...I'm in SC & I can't get chicken either. I have to depend upon online grocery shopping & delivery, frozen chicken is always out of stock. My grown son went to stores in another area & called me on phone, same thing...no frozen chicken. But, he was able to get some fresh. 🐔🐔

Grocery Outlet is similar to Sharp Shopper but smaller. I used to live near one. We don't have either here though. Azure is great! I remember when they only had a few items available some 25yrs ago! I hope they recover quickly from the recent fire.

Seeing those big cans of marina, it’s not good to store them in Thr cans long term and they take up room , we re can them into quart jars and they last longer, maybe something to consider.. same thing with any items in the can, tomato sauce, etc

Where I am from we mostly have pop tops on cans and with all the pandemic emergency supply for possible isolation we had some go over a year as we forgot to rotate them out was soup and no problem.... As long as cans are not dented or anything all fine not sure about usa but we had a soup feast and loved to tell the tale lol

Amazing prices! The more people in your family, the more rising prices will affect you, I'm sure! I would LOVE to have a store like this close by! Love the "let's just stop by and see what we can find today", and then $400 later....haha!

The date and time do change but sometimes you get lucky at a drop location and the coordinator will store your products until you can get there. I ordered pears and when the produce says keep refrigerated they mean it. My pears rotted in three days because I didn’t have the frig space and wasn’t prepared.

You found some amazing deals at Sharp Shopper! I haven't been in a few weeks myself and I was going through my pantry and freezer looking to see what I need to stock up on. I am pretty good on most canned goods, but I do need some meat. I started planting my garden, so I hope that soon (once all these pesky freezes and random days of snow are behind us), I will have a bountiful harvest. Devil Dogs been around forever my Mama put them in school lunches back in the 60's. They were around with Twinkies, yodels, coffee cakes and rind dings for our choices.

Those Devil Dogs look just like the "Devil Cremes" by Little Debbie. I have some in my pantry. They were a substitution in my grocery delivery, I don't really care for them. Dry. 👎. Just my opinion. 😏 Love your channel. Will be watching, anxious to see new kitchen completed. ❤🙏

Jamerrill, don’t know about your area Sam’s club, but mine here in Louisiana has plenty of fresh chicken. $2 something a pound for boneless skinless. Buy the business membership and get percentage back with each in store purchase. I do their Mastercard and get more $$ back in addition to the Sam’s club business member rewards. I’ve already made over $160 rewards feeding 6 people this year. So worth the membership.

I love it. I do something similar. We have a store similarto Sharp Shopper near the Tractor Supply where we live and it's like... Oh we are at Tractor Supply might as well see what's at the Discount Grocery, lol! It snowed recently here in Western Oregon too. A bit late in the season!
