Nice, I been looking for a power efficient 'laptop' to use with the rPi and was looking at all sorts of funky iverter boards for laptop screens and such, and here it pretty much already exists, and is way cheaper then my idea. Thanks!

I've actually been busy making that exact same project. Everything is exactly the same. Kali does run a bit slow , most likely its all the good tools it has. But Snubs was right once you click into whatever you need it goes fast enough for most linux users. I think the Key thing here is the Lapdocks used to be $3-500, but i bought mine for $17.00 pi for 35 cables for 20 so all in all 60-80$ for a small laptop Running a Kali Distro cant beat the price and the sheer portability as its 2-5 lbs.

for windows users, if you try do write the image using software on windows, you may run on some issues like you can't login or ...

"fdisk -l" is good for determining which device is what. the device doesn't have to be mounted to use it either.

rPi with Kali sounds like to much fun. Maybe make a script that automatically pwn some networks (mine own of course) and make it start on boot. Then have it connect to that network and email me that key... Oh the fun!

Off subject, but I'm considering hooking my pi to my Kenwood multimedia headunit in my car. dnx-9140.. I'm thinking I'll power it with the usb out on the stereo, run the composite video in, stereo mini jack in, and put a wireless keyboard and something on the usb for storage, and a wifi dongle to connect and use my phone as an access point.. I'm just not sure what distro to go with.. maybe xbmc?
