If u have just gotten into art and don't go for copic just buy these or another cheaper alternative and upgrade to copic one at a time and overtime you'll end up having an entire set of copic markers without having to spend a fortune at once,that's how I did it

Copics are not worth it. Don’t waste your money on markers than aren’t even lightfast and won’t look the same in even 10 years

Same with ohuhu. I started with ohuhu because of the videos I’ve seen of a full comparison using copic and ohuhu. Ohuhu is an extremely close second!

student grade materials get you along fine with learning, but professional grade stuff really is a whole different ballpark when it comes to pigment and quality

I won't lie. I have those markers, got them when I was pretty young, and then got introduced to copics.. Dude, it was like a dream, copics blended much better, the color was so much better, yes, the markers I got are good beginner, but copics take the win. I will not lie

I like my Copics but will be buying the whole set of Ohuhu’s just for fun. 🎨👍🏻 My one pet peeve about alcohol markers is that they are not fadeproof, luckily I’ll only be using them for drawing in my sketchbook.

Always try cheap stuff first for any medium! You might spend a lot of money on a nice set of colored pencils or markers and then realize they aren't really your jam

Another alternative is Ohuhu alcohol markers. Just got some and they're amazing to work with!

I really dig my Ohuhu markers. I bought the grey set. They work awesome with prisma color pencils

I also suggest arteza markers! They blend pretty good and have a decent set of colors.

Both are basically the same bc its hard to mess up alchol markers just with different colors but the copic blended better due to the brush nib.

I have these illy markers from walmart there so useful and good they bleed through a bit but after u put a random piece of paper or cardboard it doest bleed to the next page!

I got simular cheap markers and for me its not compareable because it bleeds alot more than my copics and also dont blend really together its a shame actually

Im a beginner artist and Id say ive watched about.. too many of these type of videos but none really gave me a straight answer? After this I brought a cheap alternative to expensive copics or ohuhu markers, Im quite happy with the performance. I have had to get small sets for when they run out. But they only turned out to be around 5 pounds. I do recommnend cheap alcohol markers for when your just strating out! ❤

Phew! Yes start cheap and move up for sure. Sometimes when you get frustrated with your art, it might be the time to experiment with new / more expensive stuff.

Ohuhu's are an amazing cheaper marker so ready to go and last a very long time

Start with the cheaper options to see if alcohol markers are really for you. If, after some time you decide they are and you’ve gone through a couple bags of dried markers, upgrade to copics. It’s way cheaper in the long run if you plan on doing a lot of marker art

I have the 80 set of cheap markers and they're great for what I need them for. I'm in college so I can't afford 80 copic markers 🤣 colors are vibrant, blending is nice. They get the job done.

longevity. Expensive markers do not fade over time. Cheap ones fade out quite quickly.

Expensive markers still fade, you get a bit longer out of them but they aren't lightfast.
