I think it would be great for you to do an episode or episodes that shows your tools in Packouts. Show everyone how you organize your tools and what fits. It would help give ideas to Packout people. Then have viewers send in pics of their tools in Packout and share their pics with us over many episodes. Kind of like your "Guess the Trade" episodes but maybe "What's in our Packouts" episodes. Just an idea for content. Love all your episodes and your attention to details.

For anyone who doesn't have a label maker Brother has a few different ones but they have industrial labels that hold up better. I have those labels on parts bins in my hot So. Fl. garage and have never had them come off or even peel up. They have many different colors too. I have a not very expensive cordless label bluetooth printer. It can use batteries or plugs in. That’s a Good idea. And for the spinning ones you can put a dab of glue in one the sides of the tube to stick it to the handle, but not too much or it will jam the axle.

@@shark2492 I was thinking about that… I may end up doing it if it bothers me too much. Thats how my buddy did his PVC ones. He notched them and slid them over with glue… (the Pex was just easier and quicker in my opinion) Appreciate the suggestion 👍

@pubcollize 28 күн бұрын
Try those (i think either silicone or vinyl not sure) "transparent tubings". The good ones start flexible, the cheap ones are a bit tougher but not like PEX. Either way at first when you give them some light heating they become softer, which would facilitate a tight friction-fit (usually onto a barb fitting but would fit your usecase), but if they're exposed to heat for some time they lose a lot of flexibility. So it will be very easy for you to fit it into place, and then if you heat it some more it should lose a lot of flexibility. Also what might be cool is to put the sticker on the inside of the tubing rather than the outside, might lose some readability but worth a try.

Does it come in black 😆 🤣. That's a good cheap way to label something for sure. I don't have alot of packout organizers less than 5 per vehicle and mine might have 10 so good old mental memory ussaly just knows. I tend to put stuff back in it's place and every time so it's not such an issue. In the past I've used the cheap plastic cartridge 80s style labels and they turn out fine no packing tape required. One thing with the packing tape and it's important is to put thoes over the labels on your ladders! It may not seem like a big deal but if you ever show up on a jobsite and osha pops up that will save you fines questions or your bacon. Yes they can google the model but some inspectors are lazy and just give you a fine and call it good. We personally don't allow any step stool or ladder that isn't iaa or 375 rating at work. I don't care if it costs more money your insurance company or workman's comp will ask questions and investigate don't give them a reason to deny. So yea put clear tape on your ladder labels or even power tool seral number for warranty purposes (oil based laquer will work too and won't peel up).

I wish it did come in Black… I think that would look better. Good tips on the ladders 👍
@MattHmm-rq6dn
@MattHmm-rq6dn 29 күн бұрын
That mostly came from comerical we couldn't use aluminum anything ladder. Also with a anyone weighting 250lbs or more for insurance requirements 375 ladders were mandatory since tools and belts can really add up in weight. As for the labels if a ladder on a comerical site didn't have a readable label it was sawzalled and thrown in the trash no warning! Some of the insurance requirements at some businesses we work at won't let you in the building to work unless these things are met and this isn't Intel it's smaller companies. It's not all seriousness here it's a way to not get kicked off a job before you start or have insurance claim issues cya. On a side note if you did thr pex thing you could spot stolen tools quickly maybe do it in a fun font!

Since you drove home the definition of tool talk I take it some ugliness has come from one in the past I wasn't aware of? Without calling a name out can we discuss what went wrong trolling or what? The best way to prevent issues is to make people aware of them.

No, nothing bad. I’m just meaning my purpose behind tool talk videos is never to say “my way (or this way) is the best way”… I’m just sharing something and really want feedback and other ideas from people. My hope is the comment section is better than the video. I’ve been pretty lucky on this channel. It’s few and far between on the bad comments… but I don’t mind them. I’ll listen to anyones opinion. You can learn something from anyone. Tool talks to me are more about just talking about a subject in general terms. Tool Reviews are more about specifics on something or one item. Sometimes I have a hard time deciding which one a video actually fits in, I just pick which one I think is best.
