Mate I am an absolute numty with tie downs and have everything you have but never understood how to execute. You’ve saved me! I’ve tied down incorrectly for years 😂

CHEAP JEEPER yeah that’d be great to have a Jeep buddy down here to help with a few things. I’ve literally got a room full of boxes full of parts to get installed. I had planned on tomorrow but I gotta work. Take a load up to Singleton in the morning so there goes my Saturday.

Hey mate, awesome idea. I've been putting my maxtraxx behind the drivers seat on the floor and have been looking at strapping it to the roof. Now that I know how I'll be off to supercheap tomorrow. I'm sick of looking at prices for the roof mounts, they are ridiculously high and not justified for my budget same goes for Hema HX1, I just use paper maps. Thanks for the Video.

@White & sons garage Hey mate, that's exactly what I was thinking of doing with my vortex crossbars but wasn't sure of the size and channel nut type to use. Can you please let me know what channel nuts you've used? I am assuming you have to slot them in the channel from the end of the crossbars and the spring and flat washer sits between the channel and the T nut? Also, keen to know if you have experienced any issues with this setup? Cheers

Hey, thanks really appreciate it. We used a universal M8 channel nut, yes I had to slide my one in from the side, your rack might be slightly different, yes I used a flat and spring washer. Hope this helps. Thanks

How did you you actually install the eye bolts to your roof rack?

Just with a washer and nut into the T channel of the roof rack

Which brand roof racks you run? Nut and eyelet easy install to rack?

I am running the rhino rack backbone system, yes the just slot into the rack.

@@williambacon1494 I just did a nut and washer from Bunnings but you can get channel nuts from super cheap auto. I will send you a photo on Instagram if you like.

what was the size of the eyelet ring/bolt you used from bunnings ?

Yeah definitely, I used a M6 eye bolt, not a bad size, could of gone one size bigger.

How do the eyebolts mount in roof racks?

They just slot in really good system, there is an end cap that blocks the end so they don’t come out.
