Today I met up with two of my subscribers, we went to eat some really tasty Indian. The Indian restaurant is just off the main tourist drag of Sukhumvit Road. Missed my many, it’s a great place to fill up on some cheap, tasty food.

The stuffed parathas are excellent. My favourate is the one stuffed with aloo (spicy potato). And the lamb, prawn or chicken biryani are very flavoursome. Has been a favourite dining spot of mine for many years.

The best value and quality in this area is a thai restaurant call Krua Khun Puk on corner of Sukhumvit and 11/1.Only problem is its so good you always have to queue but it soon goes down but is worth the wait.

I came here when I was in Bangkok this past May based on your recommendation the food was amazing and we ordered so much we got the left overs as take away and took it to Chiang Mai with us. We sat in the outside but because the air conditioned space is wayyyy too cold. I did make them rewash a bowl or cup can’t remember as it was dirty which the staff member did. Overall great service and great food

Hi Peter, Thanks for the recommendation, I have been visiting Thailand since 2008 and have never stayed In Bangkok. On this occasion I will be, I arrive on the 29th September and have booked a hotel on soi 4, as I do not know my way round Bangkok your recommendation of this restaurant is welcomed, saves me looking for a decent place to eat. Any other recommendations on where to visit for night entertainment would be welcomed, I will only be In Bangkok for 3 days and then Pattaya and Korat.Thanks again, always enjoy watching your videos. Take care, looking forward to your next video.

Thanks for sharing, PH. Food looks great and early doors is best time to visit. Im always wary though, of buffet-style / bain-marie restaurants. Even in the UK, if the food has been sitting for several hours with only an occassional stir or top up, I fear about becoming unwell. Maybe your stomach has become acclimaTHAIzed!🤣🤣🤣

ah 300 bhat too expensive for me :-) that's why I never went there. I used to go to a sit down in Nana near the cooking school could get a Palak Paneer and rice for about 170. Each day my aim was to eat out for less than 200 but that was pre Covid so things have probably gotten more pricey!

How much does the buffet cost? Do you pay per dish?

There isn't a set price you get charged per item, normally a meal comes to about 250 to 350 baht if you don't order off the menu

We visited India a few months ago for just over 2 weeks. My self, wife and son all had the shits. Has put us off Indian food. The 1st thing we did when we got back to Bangkok was have a good Thai meal. We enjoyed our trip to India, Punjab and Delhi, but will not be visiting again.

We used to eat Indian food on this Soi when ever we were in Bangkok 2000 to 2004 and found it very good but after our Indian trip Indian food is off the menu.

I've never asked them but I honestly very much doubt it as is generally a Muslim area and many Muslims eat in this restaurant and wouldn't be well pleased to see a foreigner drinking alcohol I don't think the restaurant would put up with it either

Yes that makes sense when you're here on holiday for a few weeks but when you live here for years sometimes you get a little bit bored with Thai food and you want to try something different personally I love Indian food I had fish and chips last week that's hardly Thai but as I said I've been here for a year already so sometimes I fancy something from my own country or something just simply different

I'm ready fly to Thailand Winter 2024 but the only thing stopping is flight cost they are still stubbornly high; will see if they start to come down in October otherwise no choice but hold my nose and pay it.

But, to those (like me) who subbed to you only about 6 mo maybe 3 mo before you sold your house in England don't have that knowledge. That is why the huh cause I didn't know you lived there on and off that long. So now you know why's the huh! So people who didn't know this it's also common knowledge to get that little info to get a bigger picture about you. PS: Do you go and join Mali in the park and work out with her? QWe would love to see videos like that as much as you love to make those videos. It's healthy. I mean I got up and do with her here in my living room those exercises and moves what she does or show us so my big belly would go down and some other things go up. Like my heartbeat.

How about this... Before sitting down to lunch, I pop in to the 7-11 next door, purchase a cold brew and pour it into my unmarked thermos, discarding the bottle... hence there is no way those who believe in a god that does not permit alcohol can see the identity of the offending beverage... I'm sorry to say it Peetah, but if I don't have something to wash down my Tikka Masala, then I really don't care how cheap and how delicious the fare is... after all this is my Thailand vacation, not prison... or perhaps they offer "to go" orders?...

Unfortunately, they don’t allow it as a lot of their customers are Muslims, and wouldn’t appreciate alcohol being drank in the restaurant. If you ask for a beer, they won’t tell you they don’t sell it. They’ll say they’ve run out.
