Nice art! I watched to see your thoughts as comparison videos are my jam. I'm looking forward to seeing your growth as a KZfaq artist. My comment is based on your speech being difficult to comprehend. Thank you for adding text to your video. You may have stated the things I wrote but since everything you said wasn't audible, I thought I would provide information about colored pencil use since non-artist may not be aware that Prismacolor pencils shouldn't be exchanged for Crayolas. Adult colorist often do this to reduce expense, but are aware, hopefully, of the differences. Most state or post that their channel is for adults- 18+. Artist are able to use varying supplies to make acceptable art. However, the resulting aesthetics isn't the only concern when choosing colored pencils. As with all art supplies, colored pencils are design to perform certain tasks and are marketed to a target audience. For example Faber-Castell polychromos provides depth of color due to their layering ability and are translucent compare to other pencils. The paper used must be able to accept several layers of color for them to be effective. Other than aesthetics, there is concern about how long pieces of of art will survive as intended. Expensive pencils such as Caran d'Ache Luminance and Derwent Lightfast have ingredients that allow art to last at least 100 years. The composition of their pigments allow color to smoothly glide across paper, but harder, oil based pencils, such as polychromos, produce intricate details better. In addition to performance, the materials used to produce pencils are extremely important. A child shouldn't use either of the pencils I mentioned because the brightness and lightfastness of their pigments are due to cadmium, lead, iron oxide, copper, cobalt, manganese, arsenic (just a few which come to mind first). These ingredients are toxic and/or hazardous although they produce the most desired hues. Inorganic pigments (synthetics) often product duller shades, but can be unsafe as well. Titanium dioxide is common in many products but can potentially affect human health based on the length, type and form of exposure. Thus both "cheap and expensive" art supplies are required, although rather than buying cheap or expensive, I believe appropriately price art supplies for the task should be acquired. If the art you sell or commission is hundreds or thousands of dollars, I'm sure Crayola producers would agree their product isn't appropriate for its creation. Regardless of how well you complete the task, the result will be inferior. Prismacolors are artist grade pencils, so therefore not interchangeable with Crayola pencils. Very young children shouldn't be allow to use prismas and older children should have supervision to ensure they wash their hands after use and don't inadvertently place the pencil in their mouth. Crayola's colored pencils are produce for and targeted to school age children. Crayola products don't have exposure limits for any their components according to ACGIH, OSHA, and NIOSH. ASTM D6901 covers the specifications for the composition, performance, labeling, including lightfastness, identification, and consistency of artists’ grade colored pencils. From a user perspective, Crayola's are creamy enough to allow inexperienced users to lay color down easily and hard enough to maintain control of the medium. Prismacolor pencils are softer and smudge much easier, hence the difference in blending - which could have been more apparent in a project using more colors. Please consider swatching your art supplies so you'll get to know how each performs. You're a part of a huge community now!🥰💜💜💜💜💜💜💜 With great power comes great responsibility. Spiderman (Uncle Ben) or Voltaire - 18th century if you're into that.😁☺😇
