I can't believe you just took one plane down, had lunch at the airport, and then headed back home!! "Jet-Setter STJ," LOL!! Love ya for it!! Beautiful sunset above the clouds.

I wonder if the pilot often is in Australia (or flies Jetstar in Australia) as Jetstar are one of the airlines common in Australia too.

I know all this is “work” for you, so I’m curious where you would go for vacation. You’re always on the go - which is a real benefit for viewers because we get to learn so much. But it’s got to be exhausting.

I'm shocked at how inexpensive the airport meals are! In the USA would be 4-5 times that much for inferior quality. So envious of the train system and now of airports. 😊

Yeah, airport food here is ridiculous. They know they have a captive customer, so they mark the prices way up.

Same here in Australia they're outrageously priced. Also can't believe the voucher for being late for departure .. here it's just suck it up. Like the under carriage view of the night landing at Haneda. Bushyboy Oz.

U.S. in many ways is not behaving like free market. I noticed that, too. In many developed countries, it is about the same price, but not U.S. Plus the tips are driving non Americans crazy.

I have just returned to Australia from 2 weeks in Okinawa, I was very impressed with the airport, on arrival I took a bus to Senagajima for a hot spring soak, just perfect after the long trip. I went back there later in the trip and watched the sunset whilst soaking in a hot spring bath, absolutely magical!

As an Australian I fly Jetstar a lot, both domestically and internationally (Hawaii, Japan, NZ) and don't think they deserve the criticism they get. It's so funny that your budget flight was on time and your $$$ flight was delayed. Thanks for sharing!
@marcd6897
@marcd6897 3 ай бұрын
to be fair, the low cost flight departed fairly early in the day while the JAL flight was in the afternoon. Early morning flights, in particular domestic flights, tend to be more on time in contrast to afternoon flights where delays can easily be accumulated by the number of rotations the plane already had on the day.

I just can't get over how much the typical Japanese person eats in the morning! It seems like every solo travel channel i watch, they have 3 or 4 plates of food before they are done. I can eat two eggs and one slice of toast and a coffee and be full until mid afternoon.

The people on these channels are definitely not typical, I don't know what it is about travel KZfaqrs and big appetites. But most Japanese people I know don't have much of an appetite in the morning (though I think it varies a lot person to person). Most people are not gonna get the double-size breakfast!

From my experience with both Narita and Haneda, the airport shops, vending machines and even restaurants are really cheap. Especially when you compare them to European airports. A bottle of water is 1 euro (140 yen) at a vending machine in Narita, whilst it's 3-4 euro (500 yen) in Frankfurt or Amsterdam. Duty free items are cheap too in japanese airports. Sometimes cheaper than tourist areas in Tokyo or Kyoto 😂.

Everything is so inexpensive in Japanese airports. I am so jealous. We took this route in 2019. Okinawa was so worth the trip. We're going to do it again when we go back. Once the over-tourism calms down a little.

I love your understated, laid back commentary: "I'm going to Okinawa for lunch today" - yeah, I do that all the time.... 😉 "For the first time in my life, I feel like I have human rights in a Jetstar seat" 🤣 Yeah, I've flown with them in the past a few times. And please, send me all the natto you don't want - I absolutely love it! Living in Fukuoka so shipping costs should be low 👍👍 People here get very confused when I order it at breakfast or on sushi - "you like natto?!" I need to go looking for the dried variety now. 😋

What a world of difference the airbus was compared to the 737. The airbus was the lexus and the 737 was the 1973 volkswagen beetle

Sunflower should buy planes, too, so we can hear that song across the PA system in the background on the plane before takeoff.
