Thanks for putting in the effort for quality videos. I’m 2 week in using TC, and my clients love it so far. For those questioning, you can find it for $25 from a local distributor - Amazon is $45 w/free ship when it’s in stock. What’s your dilution? - I’ve been going 1:1 with distilled.

Jimbo, I'd say water beading is a hold over from carnuba wax when that's all there was. People used that as a guage of quality, as new products came out they were developed to bead because of consumer demand. Your right you want sheeting, its evacuating of the water off the surface, people need to realize those beads are not all going to roll off especially on horizontal surfaces, and they are possibly going to etch.
@RJC-ps6wc
@RJC-ps6wc 4 жыл бұрын
Shouldn't etching be an issue only if you are washing and rinsing with hard water? I have never had an issue with etching from rain. If I wash and rinse with hard water then etching is a HUGE issue! In that case I need to wash, rinse and DRY each section by itself to prevent any water spotting.

Good call on sticking with a wet towel. Any "pH neutral" soap has to be very close to ~7pH. Water is ~7pH. So there's no "neutralizing" effect, and adding a soap on top of other chemicals just means more potential for unexpected chemical reactions. Wet Towel 2020.

TC Tec582 can be used with a foam cannon as a diluting method. It obviously won’t foam but it’s a way to dilute it and spray it all over a vehicle and follow up with a drying towel. My shop does that all the time and it works pretty well. We get the 5 gallon jug for a little over $100 so very economical.

Looking to see if you could recommend a couple waxes/sealants that have an incredibly slick feel to it, months after being aplied. I used a very old can of Mothers Pure Brazilian Carnauba Wax on 1 car and that has a very slick feel to it, vs Duragloss 105 on another car and that doesn't match the slickness of the Mothers. Is it most carnaba waxes are slicker vs synthetic waxes?

One can buy a gloss meter on amazon for about $30 that would be able to effectively quantitatively measure gloss reflectivity units; if one's gloss reflectivity falls below 80 units then one probably needs to break out one's old trusty brand name random orbital dual action polisher and use the always excellent car pro's essence surface preparation polisher with its integrated built-in nano sized quartz and durable high gloss resins compound surface preparation vehicle refinishing product choice.

Auto Detailing Podcast I am so grateful you even responded and you make some valid points in your reply. The problem with detail channels ismthey get so technical, yet I am still wondering "is he saying I should get this or not" Maybe state the products you would use on your own car taking into consideration performance, accesbility, price, etc. If you review a better Product state that you a replacing the other product with this new one and state the high level reasons why. Then go into the technical tests and results as you normally do so that it's more of "supporting" data rather than the central content. Right now I use Optimum car shampoo, Car Pro Reload, Rhino iron dissolving wheel cleaner (supporting a local detail shop that I think has a superior product), Car Pro PERL, chemicalmguys new car smell and leather smell air fresheners.

great video, but something you don't account for is the added gloss due to defect-filling properties. I've seen another KZfaqr test many different sealants on swirled/hazed paint and capture the results under very bright lighting, and reload was one of the best at adding gloss. under those lighting conditions, you could actually see a very clear, undeniable difference in gloss, color darkening, and defect filling compared to the control (bare) portion and the other tested sealants. not sure how TC would compare in that category, but just pointing it out. it does look like it has the win for price and for durability, though.
@autodetailingpodcast
@autodetailingpodcast 5 жыл бұрын
It would definitely be a good thing to add into consideration. Thanks for the tip.
@profdleeucc
@profdleeucc 3 жыл бұрын
Yes another important quantitative and qualitative critical parameter is measuring with a gloss meter the vehicle finish after applying technician's choice ceramic spray detail and the car pro reload; now one could also change things up in the test protocol procedure by also applying both the technician's ceramic spray detail and car pro reload by using the foam block with suede cloth applicator to apply a more consistent uniform consistent coating under constant application pressure using undiluted technician's choice ceramic spray detailer versus car pro reload; one can also add an additional step surface preparation step to the test door panel also as well by using the car pro's essence extreme gloss primer surface prep since it very effectively serves as one of the better blends of key primary nano sized quartz that has high gloss durable reinforcing surface finish resin compounds that is combined with the critical surface preparation fine abrasive grit polishing compound; this would make for a very solid and reliable base foundation layer upon which two cross competing products such as the technician's choice ceramic spray detailer and car pro's reload test product choices; now this would not only be a much tougher challenge test for both product choices being compared but it would allow one to also put down one primary coat and then also add a secondary coating for the technician's choice ceramic spray detailer versus car pro reload also as well; to see how they hold up in that particular endurance riveting challenge scenario indeed; the purpose here of course is to allow each respective product the best possible chance to optimally excel and outperform the other potential competing product choice; while collecting even more critical characterizing cross competing product data parameters under various parameters also as well.

Is this the TC same as the aqua glow ? If not I'll love to see the comparison
@profdleeucc
@profdleeucc 3 жыл бұрын
yes the Technician's Choice Acqua Glow is equivalent to the Extreme Solutions Poly Seal; as they are both highly effective hybrid polymer silicone oxide paint sealant protection agents; Technician's Choice Acqua Glow however is can be brought via amazon for $35 per gallon and at that price is an unbeatable deal indeed; just simply put it in a quart spray bottle and simply spray and apply it once every two weeks by spraying into a moistened micro fiber cloth and call it a day; that one gallon of Acqua Glow will last for a very long time indeed enough to make ones vehicle finish shiny for a very long time indeed. Now one can always of course use the Technician's Choice Ceramic Detail Spray as the effective primary base coat and the Acqua Glow as the optimal topper coat to act as the sacrificial layer that gets renewed more frequently in order to effectively better optimally protect the Ceramic Detail Spray base coat layer and keep it look pristine quality longer; now that particular layered technician's choice product combination allows one to cut down on ones annual reapplication times thus effectively saving oneself even more time and money over the long haul.

Is this used in between waxes? Used in place of wax? If between waxes, do you have to have used a ceramic wax? I'm so confused lol.

I will take technicians choice. Because of the price point. I tend to think that the big companies that are well-established I mean most of them that have those huge companies I don’t think their products hold up as well. Is the mama and papa products. I think the small company just starting out has something to prove and they therefore will make a better and more chemical resistant product. Just my opinion

@@godowarus Im talking about during the test. There is a lot of overspray from spraying and rinsing off. The control section might look a lot more like the test sections in the end if he did (judging by how it looks in the beginning), but we dont know now. My guess is that both sections are pretty much dead right after power clean, and definitely after the last round, but because of the residue on the control section the result look different.
