Ahoy pirates! 🤙
This video will give you a full-on review of the closest ski field 30 minutes from Sapporo in Hokkaido Japan, easily accessible daily for both beginners and advanced snowboarders and skiers. After two winter seasons living in Sapporo, this is my favorite Ski field on weekdays while working evenings. It's faster to access from Sapporo station or Odori, and public transportation as well as ski tickets and food is way cheaper than at any other ski field around Sapporo (e.g.Teine). The Ski field also has an Olympic size Halfpipe, Ski and Snowboard Rental and an English and Japanese Ski & Snowboard School for kids and adults.

The truth 📱🎙️:
Please be aware that I film with an old broken phone. On top of that, I don't have a good mic yet and I am learning by doing. 😄 In the future I wanna improve the setup and develop better cuts, transitions and footage. I hope for your understanding. I will probably laugh out loud when I look back on the videos in some time... 😂
Cheers

Hi, I'm a new subscriber here. I really love your content. I visited Sapporo for the first time from early February to mid-March this year and fell in love with it. I'm planning to go snowboarding for a whole month next winter. Could you recommend the best month for the best snowboarding experience, considering that hotel rates might be cheapest during that time?

That's fantastic that you're considering staying for a whole month! In my experience, early January has often had excellent powder snow conditions in the past couple of seasons. This might be worth considering if you're looking to avoid higher hotel prices in February. However, it does depend on whether you plan to move around Hokkaido and change locations. Another option to save money on accommodation for your snowboarding adventure could be renting a monthly apartment. I've actually created a video that might be helpful for finding housing in Sapporo, which you can watch here: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/o8uGrZuayJm6dJ8.html Wishing you the best of luck with your planning, and I hope you have an incredible time on the ski fields!

Ahoy! Thank you for reaching out. 🎿🗻At the moment, I am hosting family and friends, which means I'm not available to instruct. However, I suggest contacting the instructors at the ski field for lessons in English beforehand. They can guide you through the booking process. Happy shredding and stay safe! 😄

I’ve never heard of a bear bell. What is it?
@captainikigai
@captainikigai 4 ай бұрын
Ahoy! 🐻🔔A bear bell is a small bell that hikers/Skiiers/Snowboarder or campers attach to their backpacks or gear when exploring in bear country. The sound of the bell alerts bears to the presence of humans, giving them a chance to move away and avoid surprise encounters. It's a simple but effective way to help prevent bear encounters in wilderness areas. I use a regular small bell attached to my pants while being in Hokkaido. Please find a link to buy it here: s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_DeQVD7L Find a video about SNOW GEAR for Hokkaido here (bear bell included): kzfaq.info/get/bejne/p8CehpCL3MXJhGg.html
