We all have our favourites as usual! Geyon Glass is superb on a real top end snob detail, but my everyday glass cleaner is Koch Chemie GC. Incredibly cheap and devastatingly effective for trade/pro use when you buy 11kg . Great channel BTW

Paragon microfibre fishscale and autoglym fast glass for me. Works a treat on house windows and mirrors too.

I tried your magic mix Jon, its the best I've found so far, better than previous favorite clearly menthol, i find even the fish scale cloths drag and leave lint, best I've found is similar to the e-cloth for glass

Big fan of Clearview and hydraclean from Anachem here in Ireland. The hydraclean is exterior use as it also leaves a temporary hydrophobic layer behind that doesn't smear or judder IMO

Big fan of CarChem Clear View glass cleaner for most jobs - really grubby greasy tasks Angelwax Vision is just awesome. If I was super concerned on cost or needed vast quantities, an IPA homebrew would be the way to go, assuming you'd got a sprayer!

Soz to put more product names up here but my go to is plenty of glass waffle cloths and the Autoglym Glass cleaner in a white can aerosol only not the trigger spray bottle or blue polishing cream. Not available in Halfords but I buy mine via tiny local car accessories shops who get the Autoglym van man visit them every couple of weeks (or they used to.) It also is the best at restoring a black leather shinny steering wheels and gear selectors to their as new matt black grippy surface finish . Cheers.

Initially bought Angelwax Vision and it destroyed my window tints (despite them saying on their website that its tint safe!). As that was expensive decided to go to the other end of the price scale with this and very happy with the results. Powermaxed glass cleaner also a very good cheap one.

Nilglass is used in commercial kitchens and shops... We've been using it on glass and stainless surfaces.. awesome stuff and also I use it on the car windows... Although you use it neat.. you can water it down

Been using this stuff for a few years. I like how quickly it flashes off but you have to be quick in between working in and final buffing. You left it a bit too long. Only a few quid for a litre at B&Q. ONR at 1:256 is still my favourite chemical for glass cleaning though.

Gyeon Prep, not the cheapest but the most effective glass cleaner that I've tried so far and smells great. 500 mils lasts me 2 years including the yearly panel wipe following a DA polish and before laying a new coat of Fusso Coat. But I only look after (very well) two cars.

The best cloths I’ve found are old well-worn cotton t-shirts cut into pieces to get rid of the seams. Cheaper and better than many of the dedicated glass cloths in my opinion.

Cloth idea for creative types, fish scale or waffle, get a large 70 x 90. One of those oversize cheap clear disposable flat gloves as a template, mark up, whip round with a sewing machine, turn inside out, 4 pairs of flat double sided either hand glass gloves with more purchase and corner dexterity rather than bunched up cloth. [Use the same with microfibre for getting fingers round wheel spokes & inner barrels.]

To be honest i only ever properly buff windows if i've polished them, When i use a window cleaner i clean them, then just wipe them over with a damp cloth afterwards so no micro fibres appear

Silversil glass cleaner,plus,home bargains green waffle weave cloth,plus marigold white waffle cloth does the job.

Hi John find it the hard to get a good finish on glass . How about using clean paper tole to put on cleaner and wipe of with a glass cloth. e

I think if you use paper you would use it to wipe off. The advantage being its clean fresh grease free paper and you can just bin it afterwards. I just prefer using towels but I might do a video on this.

I've used most of them on the market and never found one better than Sonax Xtreme Glass Cleaner nano pro. I tried Invisible Glass recently and not a fan, I'll stick with Sonax. I bought 5L of Nilglass and found it to be TERRIBLE! Good on your bathroom mirror, but so streaky in the sun.

Paragon Microfibre do a glass cloth that is just like the black diamond cloth, but blue, and it's a lot cheaper!

White vinegar & de-ionised water (50/50) works fantastic on glass. White vinegar spray is 79p for 750ml from Home Bargains & de ionised water is cheap as chips from your local motor factor (£1.50 for 2.5 litres from Tesco) Beats everything else I've tried.

I tend to use old microfibres that have been washed/tumble dried too many times. They are lint free but just have enough absorption for glass. What was the recipe for your homebrew glass cleaner please Jon?

I have started buying white vinegar from B&M for 79p, and diluting it 50/50 with distilled water. It works out about 50p for 750ml and seems as good as anything. Stopped using anything alcohol based as in warm weather it evaporates too quickly and smears.

you need some detergent and alcohol solvent Nik. Vineger will be usefull though. million of window cleaners up and down the country use water, some dish soap, and vinegar. the dish soap has a touch of alcohol solvent in it as well. you can get the smeary film haze from IPA, and ethanol

HG glass cleaner is meant to be good. Evans window and glass cleaner is cheap - Evans used across public sector for cleaning supplies

Guy who tinted my windows uses Mr Muscle to clean them.ive got dodo juice menthol but ive bought a £1 co-op brand bottle to try lol.

The meguiars one is £35 for a gallon but dilutes 10:1 so makes 11 gallons so 41.6ltrs

@@hakman239 I’ve used the megs glass cleaner from Halfords, ‘Perfect Clarity’ I think it’s called and it was OK, but really cannot justify the cost of nearly £14.00 for a 450ml or so bottle.

@@hakman239 if the concentrated glass cleaner is as good as the one available in Halfords and some online retailers I would buy it. However, I’ve spent a small fortune on various glass cleaners which have proved to be a great disappointment. This trial and error approach is proving expensive🤯
