This little baby packs a punch for the price (just over 30 bucks). I'm comparing it to an old Craftsman blower that recently died after about 15 years. So far I've used it four times kzfaq.infoUgkx9IdbewMd3eOaX3SS_kV4wC73v6yWG2KY and it's done an excellent job. It's light, and it moves leaves and debris very well. It's a little shorter than the craftsman, but it's fairly easy to manage. I don't ever use the front grip (requiring both hands). If I did, it would increase the distance between the blower and the debris, or it would require me to bend over awkwardly. I'm 6' 3", so I just hold it (since it's light enough) with one hand down at my side and it's a perfect fit. It's also back-heavy, making it easy to maneuver up/down/left/right motions of the blower end. As a final perk, I can actually appreciate the safety cord lock feature, since my other blower's lack of a decent one caused my power cord connector to start falling apart, due to all of the pulling, etc. If you're not ready to spend 200 - 400 on a gas leaf blower, and you don't mind messing with a cord 2 to 4 times a month, then this thing is for you.

Great idea about the phone camera! I will try it tomorrow. I have rigged up an air hose through a 3/4" PVC pipe to a "T", capped on one end and a 1/8" hole on the other end. I connect to my compressor and it blows the stuff out. I do need to put a ball valve at the handle to stop the air vs shutting down the compressor. Now I'll use the camera to see where I need to use the hose. One more step to make it easy and safe! Thanks so much!

well the camera on a pole was also great but I'll skip that part and use the hose in a pipe. I have a 1950's house so the gutters are very easy to clean using an 8 foot step ladder but there is one section where a step ladder won't fit (because of a raised brick fence). Was planning on installing gutter guards but honestly after your idea of a hose in a pipe, think I'll just clean them that way once a year. Again thank you very much, you just saved me a whole lot of money!!

Thank you very much for your video. It worked. Since I was banned from climbing onto the roof by my family, I had to opt to other ways from the ground. Luckily I got a used 16 ft long pole for $5 from a pawn shop and I used two paint paint roller frames;one for camera to video record the status of the gutter and the other one with a fork made from a hanger wire to push down the leaves which were clogging ( covering ) the entry for the downspout. I had to add and extension wood and taped it to the roller frame so the fork reaches to the entry of the spout. I worked well for my situation. Thanks again.

some good tips here. I bought the gutter covers to prevent this type of problem. Every company that sells them out there says their's are the best. While they definitely help, they allow material like leaves, buds and keys to collect on them and slowly grind down so they fall in the tiny holes and build up a sludge in the trough. They say the wind blows them off but with seven years of having them, not all blow off and the sludge builds up over time. In my case, I've had to clean the troughs by using a pole with a pinched tip attached to the hose 3 times in that period. It blasts some water through the covers and does get things moving but it is a messy, wet, dirty job and I'm still going up on the ladder to check. I'll try your camera idea and hopefully will be able to see through the cover holes without having to climb up. I'm thinking I'll have to pick a bright sunny day to get the light shining through the covers to be able to see. Thanks for these tips.

Use a ladder stabilizer to get safer on a roof. Managed to in Winter time to put heat cables on our roof and also used a ladder clamp to hook onto the gutter and even put a heavy block behind the ladder so could reach further to put wires on the ROOF. Felt very safe and secure then! But this is in general a helpful Idea too! And while putting up the cables also was able with a scoop to clean a messy gutter that even had a gutter cover on it which was removed to do the cleaning.

Lol, I do this all the time , i like the "genius" title , I use slightly different ingredients for my telescoping cell phone camera roof selfie video gig, I use any pvc pole or wood piece that exceeds 6 feet; attach a small cardboard box( from instant coffee product box that has open top) by tape , to the post im using. The cell phone sits in the box at the end of the telescoping post, which, like you, it is hung up over the edge of the roof with varying angle as you walk along your house. I use it on yearly gutters check, and roof inspection, like after a hurricane. Also, can attach non flying drone with wifi camera to pole also for live stream.

Thanks for the video bro, but by the time you are done messing with your inventions I would have climbed that roof and cleaned the gutters all around that house, including the downspouts. When the roofs are pitched to much and have wooden shingles which get slippery when wet, in this case I work off of the ladder and don't climb the roof. Otherwise I quickly remove the trash and dirt with a small garden scoop or a flat scraper or spatula (depending on the shape of the gutter, some have the bottom rounded) and what's left I rinse with the garden hose or my pressure washer wand at low pressure while standing on the roof (I have never fallen off of a roof in the 8 years I've been doing this). I don't use those long wands with the hooked nozzle any more, all the crap falls on me from the gutters and the gutters don't come out very clean. I have also seen the edges of the roofs with damage caused by those wands and I don't want to get blamed for it, so I just cleaned them manually and then just rinse. If the bottom of the downspouts go into the ground with one of those large plastic pipes, I disconnect them near the ground so that the underground pipes don't get clogged up because they usually don't drain anywhere other than end in the ground under the grass or an underground gravel pit. I do charge extra when I have to go up to 2nd, 3rd and 4th stories high, I won't go any higher than that. NOTE: I do tie myself sometimes to my safety harness when going at or over 2 stories, I always give the rope or cable (I have both to use) only 6 inches to fall (6 in. slack), as I move I have to adjust it at my harness every so many feet, but it goes fairly quickly when I have to tie myself, it does slow me down a little comparing to using nothing on one story high but I sometimes have to do it to make sure I finish the job alive. By the way, I weigh 105 pounds and I can climb like a monkey, no big deal.

+Pressure Washing if you climb, then it increases the probability of injury and you have to add the time of visiting a doctor.

today's kids would never think about this (I asked my kids once, you may ask yours if you don't believe me). So it is not the question of saving money, the kids should not only know how to press & press their smartphone, but also use it smartly.
