At least I'm one day planning to use solar energy, currently showering at my gym, using enough light to where I use it like a normal person but make light bulbs last longer, and cook all the time so that I don't have to use as much gas just to go somewhere to eat. Also at my job at a grocery store, I vaccum any litter I pass by. Not part of my job, but it's an urge I get the feeling of doing. I have vacuumed hundreds of dumped cigarettes and feel proud doing so.

Um.... Actually, dormant is a slightly better terminology because the freezing temperature causes the bacteria to become inactive. As the temperature rises, they will "wake up". As a result to becoming dormant, instead of killed (like from extreme heat), the bacteria are then preserved. Cause and effect.
