Gokarna, a sobered and economic version of Goa. It's beautiful and budget friendly. This time while in Gokarna I came across a beach hostel called Trippr which offered stay at 199rs per night. Now, it has got to be the cheapest stay in Gokarna. What's better than 199, a free accommodation?

When I was in Kudle, Om and Paradise beach back in 1996 I stayed in bamboo huts for 50cent a night. Their was hardly anyone there...one of the best times of my life.

How is the Internet speed over there and which operator serves the best? Also, can we get a desk in day time to work if we live in tents?

You have a common area where you can sit and work. About the internet speed and operator I don't have much clue now. I was here a year a ago.

I don't have much idea on that but in the night there are lot of dogs on the beach and they are a bit aggressive.

You can keep it in your tents or rooms or else there is a common area to keep luggage. If someone wants to whisk away your bag then I guess they probably can. Need to check if they have the locker system now as its been 2 years since I visited this place.

Hey, I can see that the rate is way higher (upwards of 1000 rupees for a single person). Is there a reason for this? Considering the timing of your upload I would expect it to still be relevant.

There are different categories of stay there ranging from private rooms to dorm rooms, glamping tents to normal tents. In this video I have discussed about the single person tent which costs 199 subject to availability.

Bikes are not allowed on the beach so you will have to park it in the common parking area which is a few minutes away from the property.

How is the experience of spending the night in tent? Is it humid? How is it comfort wise?

It is a different experience altogether which you will know if you have camped before. Yes it is humid in the day but at night its quite okay. Tent wise the comfort is good.
