I stumbled into a wedding once. It was in lovely church. The bride and groom were dressed beautifully in traditional outfits. There was only a priest and two witnesses present with them. I don’t know the back story, but the marriage was totally sacred, legal, and valid.

I didn't have any desire for a big fancy wedding. I went to a department store and purchased a beautiful white lace dress with pleats in an empire bodice. Later I found this dress was a knockoff of a $3000 dress. We got married at City Hall. I chose NOT TO HAVE ANYBODY PRESENT EXCEPT TWO WITNESSES. We got married and were home by noon and I went to work later that day. All this was my idea. I had three kids,worked at a fabric store. Paying my rent and feeding the kids meant more to me. That was my first wedding. My husband died and I am tying the knot a second time. I have designed and sewn clothes all my life so I already have the dress I want which I copied after a dress I saw online. Once again I chose this. The total shindig including cake and flowers, veil will cost about $50. The day after thr wedding there is a big sale on fabric. That's where my money will be spent. I have a large collection of wedding dresses so I didn't have to go any farther than my closet to get what I needed
