Absolutely the best value in watches. Period. Nothing else compares for the price, or sometimes at twice the price.

It would appear that Glycine is a great value, just like its parent company when it comes to dive watches. When Invicta bought Glycine, they promised not to interfere with how Glycine runs itself. They kept their word and Glycine has remained great.

$300 for a reasonably well-made Submariner-esque homage ain’t too shabby. I’d probably still lean toward the Steinhart, but this would still make for a decent beater.

I have the Bronze one Brown dial no 24 hour markings. Nice watch less than $400 👍

I own multiple glycine watches. A vintage field watch, a combat sub and 2 airman gmt's. They have a new combat sub thats 38mm. I like those too.

I believe they are using the sallita sw200 now, with eta getting sitngy on supplying movements outside of swatch group. I'm Pretty sure they are regulating them also, mines +/- 5 secs per day. Sweet watch.

The bronze is amazing. I have the blue. I also have a green gmt that I love. The bracelet is in the box because you are 100 percent right about it. Love the channel. Btw the new post Invicta movements are SW200 and mine are only 11mm thick

I have the Goldeye variant. I got it during lockdown, delivered to the UK. Decent diver and grew on me, although not my favourite. It just about works on my 6 3/4 inch wrist with its lug to lug. It came with an overlong(for me) canvas strap, it looked more like a NATO, folding the material back. Nice to see a review on a bracelet version. It apparently was nearly £900-1K, prior to Invicta buy out. Apparently we save due to their distribution model,according to Mark at LIW.

Awesome Swiss watch, really a solid tool watch, I’m a big fan of the Submariner and Tudor Dive watches, but my budget doesn’t allow for one quite yet. Rock a Addiesdive Quartz Submariner for work, would love one of these to rotate through the week, construction work so I need a rugged beater made of 316L Steel. Slap this and my Sub Homage on a cheap Sailcloth and I’m set.

I have the coke bezel, it's awesome. Running at +1 a day. Love how thin it is, and at 42 wears really nicely.

I learned something today: they are better than they look in the pictures. Up now, I felt that the Combat line of watches looked too shiny and tinny looking; ie. cheap.

I hate this watch. You know why? Because it's so good and you can find such great deals on them, I have bought 5 of them. Different colors on each dial and bezel, but they are fabulous, and I can't pass one up. I hate it because it's cost me too much overall. I did sell one a few months back. Anyone looking for a great automatic that does not want to be a "watch person" this is a great option. It's great for every collector imo. I don't love their bands. I put most of mine on after-market options. Great as usual. Liked and staying subscribed.

Great review. Thank you for sharing. Regardless of now being owned by invicta, Glycine offers tremendous value for money. Especially when purchased via Ashford. And yes, while Ashford uses the funny tactics of gigantic discounts, and act now or you'll regret it for the rest of your life kind of a thing, they do sell these watches, and many other brands, at prices that if they were any lower they would most likely be counterfeits or stolen. So, yes to Glycine, and props to Ashford. Thank you again for sharing with us!

I own three of these, the "Costco" the "Goldeneye" and the Bronze GMT. Can't really beat it. Loom could be better though....

The crown doesn't have to meet the case, that's metal on metal. Screwing down the crown compresses the O-ring on the stem / tube / crown sealing. Nice model you picked.

That's a great watch for the price. They offer a rubber strap and NATO strap as well.

If you have the wrist for it the 46 mm version has a 120 click bezel with much better action. Lume on that one is also superior. I got it new for $296

I really like these Combat Subs,looked hard at them but ended up getting a Steinhart Milsub.Both brands are pretty much the same thing,as to the level in the watch world.Still may pick up the CS in the future.Great video 👍🏻🍀👍🏻🍀

This is my favorite watch because of the way it wears. I like that it's thin and the downturn lugs make it very comfortable. My daily wear is a combat 42 GMT quarts. The pride of the fleet is a combat 42 vintage because it is completely brushed, no polish at all. Great review, Thanks.

Combat Sub 36mm is amazing other than the butterfly clasp. Put it on a rubber strap and it's incredible. +4 spd.

I think I saw it on sale at Costco for 297.97 yesterday, in store.

I waited too long on the GCS sold at Costco. It was $293.00. But it also had orange indexes which weren't appealing to me.

Just found your channel, im an oris collector but I'm looking for a reliable beater, preferably an automatic but i I don't mind mechanical, i need something thats rugged with good water resistance that i don't mind if it gets destroyed.

Good value prop at $320. It might be better on a vulcanized or FKM rubber strap or with a NATO given the military vibe.

Thickness.. less than 11mm. Super value.

Gnomon watches have better pictures of these Glycine for anyone wanting to check them out. I have a blue combat vintage sub42. It’s been an amazing watch so far. I might get the bronze version of the same or even the 36mm. Glad they went back to the original logo design.

Check out the price of these in jewellers in UK, £900 approx.

I have one and really like how flat it wears.

The crown is just a QC flaw on that particular unit. My Glycine doesn't have that issue. Although I do not wear mine much, it's exceptionally machined. The bezel and crown action are better than much more expensive watches I have owned. The automatic movement is regulated in three (3) different positions. The only issue with Glycine's Combat Sub line is they do not offer smaller case sizes, which cancels out a huge portion of consumers. They need to improve the lume, and provide better tapering bracelets. Clasps seems to be generic off-the-shelf Asian in origin.

The Combat Sub is a pretty good watch, assuming you get it right--and $320 is certainly right. The bronzie is a particularly good looking watch. However, it has two issues. One is the bracelet is crap. Put a tropic on it and call it good--especially on the bronze one. The second is it is a 2824 and it's going to cost more to service the movement than the watch is worth. Keep that in mind if considering this watch.

That said… 100-200$ more for a regulated movement, decent case finish and luminous dials across the board would be nice

Wierd!!! the time on the watch whilst you clicking the bezel was 8:45 and im watching at 8:45..UK time....is it a sign for me to buy 1??? My fav watch to wear is one of the cheapest i own..... Steeldive Capt Willard. £110. I love the thing, Crazy how some of the cheaper brands stand up against the more expensive counter parts.

Wow thats a really badly built watch I suspect while its swiss made I suspect the case and bracelet came form a sweat shop in china the movement is the only good thing but only just.

It’s a horrible watch even for $300.
