I'm less angry about cheating and more angry that they patched the Archives computer exploit/vault prompt. I can't imagine in an already bad season ubisoft removing things that make the game fun.

When I switched over from Xbox to PC, I played a lot of siege with controller for the first couple of months. That skill got me as high as low silver. When I finally switched over to mouse and keyboard, I was able to get to high emerald low diamond. The difference is massive.

It's called silent aim, it's a mechanic where the bullet teleports to the player model that's within their fov circle that is overlaid on their screen. If it's a good cheat it will have a sight line verification so that when they shoot and someone is behind a wall silent aim doesn't just activate and will shoot normally, that's why most users use it to act more discrete verses blatant users will also have aimbot turned on, thus locking on to whatever hitbox/ bone line is listed in their menu settings

I watched a game where my legitimate silver friend had a cheater on his team openly discussing his boosting services. They were also on the phone describing to others how they accept payment. My friend did everything he could to interrupt the cheater but they were so blatantly cheating shooting people through walls... checked a week later and they still aren't banned

The saddest thing is that I never had problems with cheaters in previous seasons. I’m normally in Diamond+ lobbies and somehow had little to no run-ins with cheaters. This season I ran into 8 cheaters on the first day. Hurricane Beryl has kept me off my PC the last few days, but I don’t expect it to get better when the power comes back…

From what i know from learning bits of machine learning, more data don't always make the model better, especially if the data is useless to begin with. My guess is they don't bother making more complex model and just add more nodes and hope for the best. I would probably do the same since I'm as lazy.

Pc without a doubt has an advantage over controller and aim assist is what's used to somewhat close that gap. Pc is definitely better with better resources so controller gets the crutch of aim assist

You said the max you should go from two seasons should be two ranks. On my first season playing I went from Unraked to Plat so looking at data like that would be not so accurate and I don't think it would be worth to maybe after finding something that sticks out in stats to check it manually. So they just don't bother with it

The only thing that would save the game is to have a large team that does what varsity is doing here, but at a massive scale.

For match 1, its most likely lag, match replay isn't perfect but I've had the same thing happen where I would be aiming not where the enemy is and still get a kill, lag does play a huge part in the replay

Just a observation but I think it stems past R6 siege. The influx of cheaters on most competitive shooters have been going up due to the ease of subscription based hacks and convenient hubs. I would say this issue would of been the same 10+ years ago it's just the discovery of the hacks were more convoluted.

Yes we cannot compete with pc or tbh xim But there is no aim assist on controller unless your using it while vs ai/training. Qm ranked standard and other normal game mods automatically disable aim assist. So yes there is aim assist just not the way U think it is. I hope u read this sincerely ColaX

As a lifelong Halo player, aim assist and bullet magnetism exist just to make the experience easier. Controllers and M&K should never be paired into a single matchmaking service. The two require completely different balancing techniques and really aren’t comparable.

Been solo queuing this season all the way up to gold 2 got back on and had lost 90 Elo due to cheaters being on my team.

Cheating this season is out of control and the only logical explanation is that cheaters with memberships.... don't get banned. idk its the only thing that makes sense to me. Ubi wants to show that membership is doing well thus cheaters that bought annual memberships especially ' still playing with no hesitation.

AimAssist on Controller means that its slow down the sens on the target. there are a few game where the crosshair snaps on the target but thats mainly in story games. Check your facs ty

From Game 1: i feel its better call it similar to bullet magnetism like in Halo or Destiny 2. The bullets are more 'drawn' to a specified area. Or it could be hitbox manipulation where at least on his side the IQ is massive. Cant tell without the cheat behaviour in front of me

I've gotten back MMR in silver and gold years ago so it's not as uncommon as you think.

Silent aim - Someone can shoot a different direction but the bullets still hit. This is caused by an aimbot that is looking at their target, while the player can separately look any other direction. Soft aim - Essentially just stronger aim assist. Its an aimbot with loose parameters and maybe a release area. Silent aim can be incredibly hard to detect, because it can look like lag, plus they can have their settings super tuned to the point where you wouldnt even question it to begin with.

Kali was def using soft aims AKA magnetic bullets. Bad ping doesn't give you a gunfight advantage over the enemy team, unless everyone on the enemy team was playing on McDonald's wifi. Safe to say it is more likely Kali was simply using soft aim.

Btw varsity, when the copper got that hip fire kill, he had the sniper out but it counted as a kill with the smg

console player who finally started playing siege on pc, im trying to improve but ranked is impossible to play since there’s literally cheaters in over half my games, some blatant on fresh accounts and people tracking and shooting through floors and walls, it’s exhausting and standard is getting boring since i can’t get the full ranked experience

The reason that cheaters are so prominent is because of the version of BattlEye that Siege uses is completely outdated by years.

I’ve gone against the cheater in match 2, he had some friends cheating with him and after we called them out on it in round 3 but they stopped hiding it and they were so bad that it went to round 9 overtime

Honestly, the one thing cheaters could do that would hide it so much would be to stop using walls. It's always a dead giveaway when they look at enemies through walls or they clearly know where people are. If they turned the walls off, their movement and decisions would be legit. All they'd have to do would be use a hardcore aimbot that would win them every gunfight, and it would be a LOT harder to tell.
