Removing the load plate flange allows you to adjust the foil angle forward or backward depending on the type of board you're using. Using this in conjunction with foil rated board is the best approach as it insures a strong and secure connection.

Does your board have a foil rated tuttle box in it? That may have an effect on how the foil fits into your board or not. Feel free to contact us at the shop if you have more questions about this.

can the mast's head be changed? i worry that if it was sanded, it wouldn't fit another board well

My V5 aluminum case doesn't fit properly on JP boards. It can't be adjusted because it will break next to the barrel screw.

Good question! Adjusting the front wing position allows you to shift the lifting point forward or backwards so that you can find the correct balance point for your setup. Moving it further forward will give you more front foot pressure, while moving it into the back position will give it more back foot pressure.
