July is SOAR Camp Month! SOAR hosts the Nation's largest disability day camp; our first is in Lees Summit at Abundant Life Church July 8-12. We still need volunteers in all areas! Can you be a friend? We need 1:1 buddies, help with food, outdoor games, photography, and especially Medical on Tuesday. Serve a half day, full day, 1-5 days. We will provide community service hours and are even an approved volunteer site for the A+ program in Missouri. Get your friends to serve with you or have your entire church group serve. Can't serve during the week? Great, we need help setting up this Sunday, July 7 starting at 130pm until we are done that evening at Abundant Life Church. Come and help prepare the facility for an amazing week of camp. We also need people to help breakdown our camp on Friday evening July 12 from 5pm until we are done.
Our second camp is in Lenexa at Westside Family Church July 22-26. We need volunteers in all areas here as well including 1:1 buddies, outdoor games, food, photography, and especially Medical on Tuesday. You can do half days or full week. We will also need help setting up on Sunday, July 21 starting at 130 at Westside Family Church and tearing down on Friday, July 26 at 5pm until we are done.
