Today I am checking in with my friend Peter to see where I am at on my Air Flares. Although I feel stronger and have more control. I still don't feel right. Today he is here to help me out so I can train the right things.

Nice progress bro! The way you practice it at 14:15 is very good, I think you should practice more this exercise! Then at 15:53 you are doing the movement very correctly!! :D if you keep practicing in that way (15:53) you could skip the "high airflare" part and directly try to throw it wider, exactly like you do from the swipe, so it will look more like: start > left pike freeze > bounce and jump > land. If you wanna also keep practicing the high one, the best one is at 18:04, this is the best reference on how you should keep practicing the high airflare in my opinion because you can see the swing of the left leg :D High airflares and normal/low airflares are 2 very different movements and feelings, probably if you will keep practicing both they will meet in the middle at some point :)

if you are right kaio, the main thing of the airflare is to have a lot of strength in the legs to jump higher, I have progressed a lot

sound jefrix actually you dont need much strength for the airflare, is more about technique/ coordination/ body control:)

@@KaioTheRedCrow MMM I dont know. because when I always drive me every year, I had strength, but the airflare error is not a movement that you walk, I mean it's a single place that you drop, I do not know if you understand me

Amazing video!!! If you are ever in Northern California let me know. I am in the Bay area. I Bboyed for about 15 years from the late 80s to early 2000s. Did a few music videos, television commercials and taught classes when I was younger. My biggest contributions were developing the Solar Eclipse and the One Arm Airbaby in the midninties after seeing Ken Swift and Quickstep perform it two handed at the Bboy Summit and some other jams. I also brought back into popularity the Flux Capacitor from the 80s and invented the Elbow Blowup aka Elbowups. I still Pop dance sometimes but am mostly focused on my other talents and work these days.

This was awesome to watch hahahaha and I have a G-Force LOL I’d love to see the video of someone else using it. First off, 1)keep arms straight as much as possible 2) keep legs straight with left leg swinging down and in front 3) you’re arching your back and bending your legs. Get used to going to pike every time. Second off, the air flare machine helps you find positioning and go through the motion while being held up.

Try doing that airflare from a swipe so that your hips have already generated that circular momentum and your leg will already be low enough to counterbalance the top leg. Get it!!

Yo Vince, try to keep your left cheek\ chin on your left shoulder when left hand is posted. It'll help keep your left hand posted and balanced while sweeping your left leg down and around.

recently in my experience when starting on my feet when i get to my left arm (my throwing arm).. i press my armpit open in a way where if you had no momentum you would fall on your stomach.. similar to the push from crab pushing backwards to your stomach but if you were spinning then that same push becomes the trajectory for winmil.. i feel the same is for airflare.. hope this helps i'm right where you are and it's cool we are both counter clockwise.. good luck

Dude u should try also different way for understand better the kick,swing,land and other things 1)tips: try to land in windmill in every way possible, like fall on your elbow or your butt (in a safety place) 2)tips: when you do the jump from one hand to another make sure to split your legs 1) exercise: try to do a cartwheel but with your hand behind the head and slow try to shift the weight with a jump 2) exercise: try with imagination to do a power flare/new York flare but the legs are projected in air (while you watch legs), usually you could tend to close your legs but make sure to hold them open, is not important if are them bend 3) exercise: when you start with airflare try to grab left leg with your right hand: because if you grab leg, the leg make a kind of circle/swing,and in this way you do a perfect ankle pike freeze

bro~ try to practice hand hops on your throwing (left) arm. right now it looks like your left hand is stuck to the ground. gotta be able to hand hop to airflare. i recommend 10 rep 10 sets total 100 hand hops per day everyday for at lease 2 months~ keep training you'll get airflares eventually, but first GET THEM HAND HOPS DOWN (left arm)
@MJ-ru9iw
@MJ-ru9iw 4 жыл бұрын
I agree with you. Handhops will help along with Ninjas with the left leg twisting under. Maybe learn Ninjas both sides. Also learning continuous elbow air tracks first and swipes. Learning one arm inverts both sides helps also.
